  1. Final story: A textbook case of jury nullification. And while I generally don't support it when it happens, I can definitely understand it here–especially since the authorities had done so little to stop it up to this point, that it's likely that vigilante justice was the only way this creep was ever going to get stopped. I'd say that the "extenuating circumstances" here probably boiled down to "the police and courts failed the public".

  2. Story 3: When my Parents and I were in Niagara Falls we went to a Casino (Gambling Age in Canada is 19) and the Bouncer asked me for my ID and looked at me in surprise (Iโ€™m now 36) The Bouncer then said Okay, asked my Parents and I if we had any alcohol in our backpack, we said no. He put a tag on our backpack and we went inside to look around.

  3. Story 4: I had to rewind some part of the story thinking I missed something between op and the bosses. But nope. They did want op to have that day off. Hey, if he gave them weeks in advance on that day off and being coy about not wanting him to have that time off and then fire him for actually wanting to go see his favorite band then screw them and glad op won.

Story 5: Ok I agree with op and not want to f up her book and yeah, color pens for artist are expensive. Also, f the woman that is judgement on op's art. If that woman kid drew any horrible, she would prasad her. I bet op's drawing might actually be good.

  4. 8:13: Yeah. And they grow into the old folks that call the police on you just for walking (not even accidentally stumbling into their yards, mind you) a little funny, telling the cops you're quote, impaired, when you're not at all.

  5. Story 1: This entire story is pretty dumb…. both by the OP and the delivery person. First of all, why is this delivery person intentionally holding up the elevator like this? This person has either zero courtesy for others, or the deliveries are very odd. Second, the OP pressing all the buttons on the elevator was just juvenile. I get the desire to do it, but its still a case of "two wrongs dont make a right".
Story 2: I really really wish people would stop using the "i know the owner" card. It's incredibly stupid, but i also love it when the owner comes out and this all backfires. Wish more people would get banned for pulling this stunt.
Story 3: Yeah, the cashier was a bit of a jerk here for immediately assuming the OP was underage without asking for I.D. here. Well, at least it wasn't a liquor store, and ive never heard that regarding silver spray paint, but i guess everywhere is different. At least the cashier apologized genuinely and everything all worked out.
Story 4: Okay, im not sure where the OP is here, but i definitely would've sued Dave and Karen here too. Regardless of how long the OP worked for them, they had zero right or cause to fire the OP here. Also, i hate it when workplaces say they are "family". No you aren't, EVER! OP was also smart to save all the emails, along with getting more of them after their dismissal… and made even better by Karen acting all smug at first and then losing when she decided to start with the name calling. Not a smart thing to do in a courtroom. Glad the OP won the lawsuit, got all that pay and enjoyed the concert. Hopefully more bad Karma came Karen and Dave's way after this.
Story 5: Seriously, why can't people learn to leave other people alone? The kid being bored is 100% the mother's problem, not the OP's. I really hate it when people, kids or adults, just expect others to "share". You're basically just taking without giving anything back in return. People really need to learn to accept "NO" as an answer. I was kinda hoping the mom would've complained too, just so she could get shut down by management, since other people were there too, as were cameras i'm sure.
Story 6: Yeah…. i'm gonna pass on this one. Everything was awful here.

  6. Story 5 why is it that parents in these as stories never bring something with them to entertain their kid/kids instead asks op for their stuff. You know your kid is going to be bored you should have brought something with you to keep your child entertained.

  7. The delivery person was not being a jerk they were just doing their job.
A lot of delivery people have keys for the lift/elevator that override it so they can just do their job.
