Too beautiful. I haven't listened to the whole 9th symphony because of it. I feel it carries a certain weight, almost sacred status. Only hearing the entry of the violins in the first movement makes me feel anguish, nostalgy, fear; everything almost subconsciously representing a soft, vulnerable, tiny and hidden part of me that I have only let one person know: the person that has made me feel the closest to true love. I still hear the echoes of my experiences with that person in Mahler, even when I have already disillusioned myself with her. I think that is also conveyed in the 9th. I hope that someday I will be either brave of desperate enough to listen to the whole thing. In any one of those scenarios, I feel a bit reassured that I can listen to such a life-changing work of art freely in the internet. God bless us all.
Great video, always an amazing preformance! Also, I donโt know if you remember his name, but my band teacher is Edgar Jaime. He told me that he knew you back in collage and I was like โno wayโ cause I whatch your videos. Also, can you give me details on private lessons?

Which horn did you use for the stopped portion?
Why are you playing F on the Bb side and not the F side in this excerpt?
Good job.
I'm taking the St. Louis symphony 2nd horn audition on Monday and this is on the rep list! Thanks!
I saw a video of Leonard Bernstein conducting this. Canโt remember what orchestra it was but I loved the performance
