What a beautiful way to start a symphony.

  2. Too beautiful. I haven't listened to the whole 9th symphony because of it. I feel it carries a certain weight, almost sacred status. Only hearing the entry of the violins in the first movement makes me feel anguish, nostalgy, fear; everything almost subconsciously representing a soft, vulnerable, tiny and hidden part of me that I have only let one person know: the person that has made me feel the closest to true love. I still hear the echoes of my experiences with that person in Mahler, even when I have already disillusioned myself with her. I think that is also conveyed in the 9th.
I hope that someday I will be either brave of desperate enough to listen to the whole thing. In any one of those scenarios, I feel a bit reassured that I can listen to such a life-changing work of art freely in the internet. God bless us all.

  3. Great video, always an amazing preformance! Also, I donโ€™t know if you remember his name, but my band teacher is Edgar Jaime. He told me that he knew you back in collage and I was like โ€œno wayโ€ cause I whatch your videos. Also, can you give me details on private lessons?
