Sometimes all you need is some down time outside around a fire. Good food, doggos, some silence and solid sleep. The wall tent is a pretty good delivery system for winter camping!
This tent has been up year-round for 4 years. Keep a rain fly on it (helps protect from UV and forest debris), keep the critters out (squirrels, mice, etc), and keep the snow off it. Build it on a platform the exact size of the tent- so when it rains it won’t collect water on the platform and drain into the tent.
When you’re not using it, remove the chimney stack and cover the hole with the flap. You’ve not truly enjoyed winter camping until you’ve camped in a wall tent!

And you are cooking a steak with mushrooms… It's kismet.
Howdy Brooke, nice to see ya in da’tent again🪵🔥. And of course your favs for eats….missed the tabas-Kee breakfast🤣. Your new coffee drip is awesome…I can see you making those with your talents…i’d for sure buy one👍. I agree those bright moon nights with long shadows are beautiful.
Another entertaining escape with the Girl in the Woods! Really like your “rustic” tent set up! Add Wi-Fi and Apple TV and it would be just like home!
I got to get out side and get happy 🤣 my family even said they had a nice time ! Thanks for all your encouragement…
Snow angels s'mores and campfire story's !
good video
I see you’re cooking your garlic with a side of mushrooms – yum! Didn’t realize how much room was in the tent. Looks so comfortable. Thanks for sharing your steak!
As always, I look forward to your video's, Brooke. Hope your family is well. ❤️
Really enjoyed the music in this one, I'll be listening to more Richard Farrell for sure.
Very cool video, Brook! You actually gave me an idea for dinner tomorrow. I forgot that I had a steak in the freezer, so tomorrow I am going to sauté some mushrooms, grill a steak, and make some potato soup .
Oh that was just a really sweet time and a beautiful spot I wish I could go that would be wonderful. Thanks for Sharon
❤️
So glad I joined these adventures! Overnights with Girl in the woods is always amazing! Love the Pups! ❤❤❤
I love the tent setup! Everything you need to have a wonderful experience!
We ordered our wall tent last month. Plan on living in it while we build our log cabin. Cant wait😊🥰💙

That is one fine camp
Good seeing the wolf out moose dont know what he's missing out on boy what a night to be out right. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
Hungry now, and I love your candle and great dogs.
Awesome!
I had a collie years ago and she looked just like maisey. Like maisey, she loved, loved laying in the snow and on the ice. My Princess was indeed an outdoor dog. Just love seeing your wolf❤
Omg. Looks so peaceful. We're are you?
You are truly blessed my friend.😊

Your Brother-in-Law’s off-grid cabin…
At the start of the video, I took your advice and grabbed a cup of coffee. I not only paused at this moment not only to comment below, but to see if the video would even last my entire tall mug. Unfortunately, it’s not looking too good because…
Awe man, awesome video so far!…
I’m at 10:31 min and am floored right now! I love his explanation of what he added followed by a thorough picture of why he added it. I find myself so inspired, as I already own a handful of land and want to stop what I’m doing and start building!
I’ve already added that Gas Propane fridge & LED track lights to my Amazon cart.
I also love the redundancy.
Where can I get a Dad like yours?
What are some ‘must have’ items that are not found on your off grid homestead?
In other words, if you can’t make it into town, what are some items that you’ll run out of?
I see you have 3 years of wood stocked up. What are some other items that you stocked up on?
Where do you wash your clothes?
When running the framing in the additions, how would it make sense to create a wiring compartment running the whole length of the walls, at the height immediately under the windows? Especially if the windows would sit higher, in anticipation of removing them for another addition.
Is there any concern for security?
What some first things that one should stock up on, when envisioning building an off grid homestead?
My goal is to take my time, start each piece of land with a small cache storage 6’ feet deep, level up to a hidden shed, then a tiny bug-out location, and increase them a little as the years go on.
My main challenges: they are full states-distance away from me and each other. Some are in arid deserts. Some are completely off-grid with neighbors 100’s of miles away.
But I do have some a 30min to 1 hour’s drive out from family.
I have acquired the land properties over 8 years of time, mostly through interest-free owner-financing; ranging from 0.25 acre to 10 acres.
I am open to any suggestions.
Thank you.
You are so cute and so are your dogs. Your videos are great fun to watch. That collection of people who built your A frames was great too.
How awesome is that Costa Rica coffee filter. Good girl ol Maisie she knows to stay close for dem meat fatz. Lil moose has the Australian shepherd in her so has to go out and get her jobz done. Is that the tent in the UP? Every minute of this video I was like dang am there with you GF….. Thanks for sharing your amazing adventures and inspiring us all to … well y’know, get outside and get happy. 😀
Thanks for the video
I thought it was a new tent b/c it looks so good!
Ever have problems with trespassers when you're not there?
Moose is just beautiful!! Of course, I’m a teensy bit biased as a Corgi owner. 😉
Good food. Good times at the tent in the wilds 😃😁
In one of your posts, you said, you didn’t know where to begin the phrase “we gone“ actually, it comes from CB or citizens band radio. It was a common phrase meeting we’ve ended our participation in the conversation. I don’t know if you’ll ever find this note but if you do, I hope it helps.
I love the music you chose.
Thank you for posting!
I always like your videos.
