Maddow calls out glaring contradiction in Katie Britt’s GOP response | State of the Union

Rachel Maddow reacts to Sen. Katie Britt’s comments about the border during her Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union. “She was one of the Senators who was involved in the negotiations to create a border bill. She helped create the bill. And then voted against it when Trump called on Republicans to pull the plug on the bill that they themselves negotiated,” Maddow explains.

  3. Maddow is just as guilty of faking emotions as Katie britt. She needs to close her mouth before someone shows her some of her old interviews where she faked crying to pander to her audience. Very obviously

  4. Senator Britt wore a cross and lied right into the camera to our country.
This theocracy that the far lunatic right is trying to create would be a bunch of cross bearing liars bearing false witness and
breaking the Ten Commandments. Britt helped author a bill and then rejected it too? Confused lady.

  5. It’s a dangerous time to be a public servant against a dictatorial candidate who undermines the American people at every turn. Threatening a Republican in Congress to do his bidding? Someone get a handle on this so they can all be charged! This is a sesitious and treasonous act, not to mention cowardly and criminal. Then again, all of Don-damir’s apprentices are.

  6. what else could they put up anyway? "We haven't impeached Biden, like we promised. We haven't proved any weaponization of the justice department, like we promised. We haven't solved the border crisis, like we promised. What we have done is repeal Roe vs Wade, embarrassed ourselves at every turn, and elected the most childish speaker of the house we could. We also completed the coup started January 6, by making sure that the Republican majority legislative branch of the government has clearly demonstrated to the U.S. public that Trump, a man who holds no elected office, is in complete control of us. He is our President." Britt is probably the only one who is enough of a sucker to speak for the GOP on national television.

  7. Just clearly shows you, Trump doesn't care about securing a border, all his talk is to scare voters into voting for him. If it is the problem he makes it out to be why not address it first opportunity. To request that a bill Republicans worked on be rejected until after an electrician is trfling. Those who went along with it are trifling. Personally dont want to associated with the lot of trifling folks. Many should loose the office to which they have elected.

  8. That bill that the Republicans "pulled the plug on", as Dr. Maddiw puts it, would ALLOW five thousand illegal immigrants PER DAY into this country. The good "Dr." never pointed that out.

  9. It’s obvious that Trump has shown the Republicans how to make a fast dollar….Book deals, TV appearances, Campaign Funds, Special Interest, Commercials…etc. I wish poor southerners would stop supporting this hot mess, they are getting absolutely nothing out of this.
