  1. In sonys contract they have to make so many movies within a ten year period so they are pressured to make these movies to fast. They dont do enough research or the things that take time. Those things are what makes good movies great. But having a year or so tops to make a movie this big isnt enough time to make a great movie.

  2. It's a shame this movie bombed so hard the ending kinda got me excited to see what is next have they get there powers etc that last shot with them all sanding together web floating translucent in the air was really cool. But we will probably never see a sequel 😢

  3. I think Madame Web could have been a cool multiverse, live action Spider-verse but without Miles or Peter bogging it down and just letting the 3 Spider-Women have a chance to shine… But no, Sony had to go and hire some of the most incompetent writers and directors to execute this project.

  4. I hear reports that SONY only made this film to keep the media rights, Madame Web in the comics and cartoon from the 90s is a plot device character she appears to mutter some prophecy that sets of a Spiderman Story Arc. Dakota is checked out along with EVERYONE, she acts like the bored kid on the kiddy sportsball team who never asked to be there and is only there because his daddy wants him there. Doing it out of contract obligation and a paycheck not because they also have passion for the material. SONY at the top DGAF about making a quality film, they hired a TV director with no feature film experience, the writers have a past filmography of writing CRAP.

  5. Uncle Ben, despite being acted well, was unnecessary and just made me want to look for other Spider-Man easter eggs. The explaining of her powers was well done at the beginning, but then in the climax where her powers are somehow multiplication… because comics, I guess? Dakota being checked out did sort of work for the character (up until the last 15 minutes). It seemed like a no-expectations 90's super hero movie set in the then-near future of 2003…

  6. All that needs to be honestly stated is that no one wants to see female superhero films. At least not enough to spend more than a few million total on the project. We all want to see accurate comic book films portraying the characters we like as they were originally developed to be. Not gender swapped, gay, pushing propaganda or changing their core values. Thumbs up if you agree!

  7. If screen crush is calling out this movie when there so nice to movies you know it’s bad! It’s NOT an mcu movie “ associated with marvel” although Sony made spider man with Tom Holland and it was a 10 /10

  8. madame web movie not bad madame web movie inspired marvel cinematic films Both superhero shows and movies consistently rely on the tired trope of pitting women against men (“She-Hulk”) and depict women as empowered and competent while men appear helpless or in need of redemption (“Captain Marvel” and “Black Widow”). This makes men who already feel like society disproportionately favors women feel like sources of pop-culture comfort are now part of the establishment that hates them But as YouTuber Dan Murrel pointed out, nearly every female-led action movie ever made had more men than women in the audience. Movies that heavily on romance, however, naturally attract more women than men. “Madame Web” isn’t particularly anti-male, but it’s still an action movie focused almost entirely on women without a central romance. These creative decisions will affect who goes to see it.

  9. This might be a hot take but if they were made to be the best they can be I really would love another multiverse Spider-Man and a street level. Maybe make them back to back if possible or give us a street level Tom Holland Spider-Man 4 and give us Tobey Spider-Man 4 and TASM 3. I don’t see why Sony won’t just continue the first two Spider-Man franchises and let Marvel have at it with the Tom Holland movies. They could easily even do a Spider-Woman , Spider-Gwen or even a Spider-Man Noir movie while Marvel deals with the Tom Holland movies. It’s one thing if these bad movies are making a ton of movie so that’s why they keep making them but people are literally boycotting these films. Also it’s ridiculous that they want another multiverse movie based off the money it would bring in not cause they have a really good story or idea.

  10. It's just strange. It's like they gave 80 mil to people who don't know how to make a movie. There we're so many things that could've been saved by actual writing tricks that are well known. It wouldn't have been that original, but they work and would've made it a better watch. Like a proper act structure that had this 'oh shit we're fucked now' moment at the and of act 2. Like they want her to be blind and wheelchair bound in the end, right? Well then have her blinded and crippled at the end of act 2. You'd think all is lost, but then she manages to win despite her new disabilities. That's writing 101. Or have a friend or your mom read the script and see if they get why certain characters do certain actions or how they get where they end up being. Making a movie involves hundreds of people and they apparently all though: 'ahhh f#€k it. It'll be fine.'

Sony I have tons of terrible ideas, why not give me some of that money. I'll make something just as terrible for a fraction of the cost.

  11. someone was pointing out that all these young writers have not read any comic books and they are not expected to read, so obviously they are not even close to the source material, expect character names they get everything wrong
