Mad Jack, The Man who Fought with a Longbow and a Sword in WWII

Mad Jack, The Man who Fought with a Longbow and a Sword in WWII

In wartime, the line between outstanding bravery, insanity and outright folly is finely drawn. Jack Churchill, better known as “Mad Jack” Churchill is an outstanding example of how some individual officers fought World War Two in their own way and on their own terms, and succeeded. “Mad Jack” can be considered the “Knight of World War 2”, since he preferred to rush into battle with a sword and a bow instead of those boring machine guns everyone used in the war. So if you want to know how a badass british guy defeated the nazis with sword, bow and a little bit of madness, then listen to my tale.

  2. Reminds me of Forrest Gump, as in why haven’t they made a movie about him yet? And who to cast = Tom Hardy comes to mind.

However, you need a young actor if they plan to make a full length character story.

  3. As an irishman I dub mad jack an honorary Irishman it doesn't matter if he was british during a time where the irish absolutely despised the british he's drunk enough and mad enough to be one of us especially since he war a kilt to these wars despite not being scottish at all… I'm much less scottish than I am irish so I can't speak for the scottish on this one

  4. No bows are accurate at 180 m or 200 yards (for those less developed parts of the world). Thats more of maximum range of moust long war bows when you pull it as much as you can in angle of 45°. Olimpic archery range is 70m thats about as where he could shoot people accurately with a long bow. But keep in mind that longbows are still less accurate than modern bows with all aim helpers so more like 60m for long bow.

Every japanese officer carrying and using sword in battle of ww2 or whole ww1 officers: Am I joke to you? All the fame get this british mad man.
