  1. i agree with everything you’ve said in this one, but when i’m listening to the album i find myself actively enjoying a lot of it. not sure what the dissonance is between your take and my experience, but idk. i think it’s worth a listen

  2. It was actually 50 cent who done a track about heroin being his girlfriend. Eminem done 25 to life where hip hop was his girlfriend and Tupac done a similar concept of a gun in fact being his girlfriend. Just to let you know lol

  3. Are you considering reviewing the next The Heavy album coming this April? I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on the band as well as their current discog, even though I don't hold hopes high you will dive into those if you haven't already.

  4. Idk why you are so stuck up on the "hip-hop causes violence" point. Is it not obvious that it DOES in fact glamourise the illegal violent lifestyle? Many many many rappers criticise hiphop for this fact, look at atcq f/e.

  5. You gave it 1 number higher than I thought you were going to give it. The biggest problem with this album is that the progression of the tracks is terrible. I would say "I NEED" is the best track in here, it is a really good Brockhampton knock off. Whoever produced was bumping Brockhampton every day while doing that song. Half of the tracks honestly sound terrible if you listen to them once and the other half sounds terrible if you listen to them twice, the singing and the rapping sounds bad with repeated listens. This has no replay value and one of the worst álbum progressions I've heard this year. I give the progression of the tracks in this album a 1/10. And the attempt of gaslighting the audence at the end by trying to make it feel better than it is a 0/10. I don't hate Macklemore to be honest, but he didn't put any effort here whatsoever in making songs that actually sound good.

  6. So crazy to think about how huge the heist was. That was the first rap album I heard and got me into the genre way back in middle school. Makes me sad this dude is still getting hate even now. His albums/current music style definitely hasn’t aged well though.
