MACKLEMORE – BEN / 2023 / BENDO / CONSCIOUS HIP HOP BUT HARDLY, MILLENNIAL POP
2/10
Y’all know this is just my opinion, right?
source
Wow TIL Fantano is jealous of Nardwuar
Didn't even know he was making music still
i agree with everything you’ve said in this one, but when i’m listening to the album i find myself actively enjoying a lot of it. not sure what the dissonance is between your take and my experience, but idk. i think it’s worth a listen
Oh brother. Just because the Recording Academy doesn't share your opinion doesn't mean they're racist.
stop talking, so much talking. This is a video platform, not your podcast.
A 2..lolol dammmnnnn
It was actually 50 cent who done a track about heroin being his girlfriend. Eminem done 25 to life where hip hop was his girlfriend and Tupac done a similar concept of a gun in fact being his girlfriend. Just to let you know lol
Anthony never misses a chance to dunk on Mack
I’m really starting to hate all caps song titles in albums…
Review Morgan wallen
wow, not kidding on 1984
Album of the life 😍
Are you considering reviewing the next The Heavy album coming this April? I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on the band as well as their current discog, even though I don't hold hopes high you will dive into those if you haven't already.
The vibe I'm getting in recent years is that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis really needed each other.
Was hoping for “Macklethony Moretano” but I’ll take it
Macklemore needs too try a concept album with a full story and narrative throughout his albums have become scattergun
Can’t wait for Macklemore to start a YT reaction channel
body bag
STOP SAYING MACKLEMORE LIKE THAT
Should review cal scruby next
Wasn't this guy dead?
Idk why you are so stuck up on the "hip-hop causes violence" point. Is it not obvious that it DOES in fact glamourise the illegal violent lifestyle? Many many many rappers criticise hiphop for this fact, look at atcq f/e.
How did he beat Kendrick???
revival momment
I didnt know he was still making music. I still like Thrift Shop but the Grammy win kinda killed his career.
HAHAHA melon said whiteness!
Would like to hear a review on Iamjordan Hollywood Lights
You gave it 1 number higher than I thought you were going to give it. The biggest problem with this album is that the progression of the tracks is terrible. I would say "I NEED" is the best track in here, it is a really good Brockhampton knock off. Whoever produced was bumping Brockhampton every day while doing that song. Half of the tracks honestly sound terrible if you listen to them once and the other half sounds terrible if you listen to them twice, the singing and the rapping sounds bad with repeated listens. This has no replay value and one of the worst álbum progressions I've heard this year. I give the progression of the tracks in this album a 1/10. And the attempt of gaslighting the audence at the end by trying to make it feel better than it is a 0/10. I don't hate Macklemore to be honest, but he didn't put any effort here whatsoever in making songs that actually sound good.
So crazy to think about how huge the heist was. That was the first rap album I heard and got me into the genre way back in middle school. Makes me sad this dude is still getting hate even now. His albums/current music style definitely hasn’t aged well though.
