Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord Synopsis:

A certain otome RPG takes place in the Valschein Kingdom, where dark hair is stigmatized to an abnormal degree. Yumiella Dolkness is the daughter of a count, hated from birth due to her pitch-black locks—and she is also the hidden boss! In a twist of fate, at five years of age, Yumiella recalls memories of her past life in Japan. Uninterested in the romance aspect of the original game, she begins to dedicate herself to training her rare dark-type magic.

Despite this, Yumiella’s goals are clear: avoid becoming the hidden boss and stay out of the limelight. Upon entering the magic academy, however, she shakes the foundation of the kingdom when her level 99 status comes to light. Whether a physical brawl or magic duel, her abilities are unmatched, and coupled with her black hair, she sticks out like a sore thumb. To make matters worse, the original heroine begins suspecting she is the demon lord! Can the deadpan noble girl achieve her wish of a peaceful life?

  11. The ending seems a bit rush but atleast there was a good and satisfying ending that left a smile on my face, also it was funny how the protagonist evaded their fate with the power of someone's elses love

  13. in the Novel, Alicia stab yumelia before facing the demon lord, and alicia ended up killed by the demon lord , this anime ending is the solid proof that there won't be Season 2, because in the novel, affter defeating the demon lord, Yumelia likely will become saint after mmarrying patrick

  15. woweee, this ended really differently from the other endings in the webnovel, LN, etc. Always really cool to see different paths for the same story, I hope there are more seaosns to see what kind of other differences there will be, because the changes to this finale make a lot of stuff in the other books a bit weird and/or impossible

  23. I am so happy the main female character didn't fall for the Prince… In most anime the main female character falls for the Prince even though he is a terrible choice out of all the male characters. I love Yumiella and Patrick budding romance. 😍🥰❤️

  40. I enjoyed this series, though I do wish it had had a higher animation budget. There was a lot to be desired there, especially in the cgi! The manga has some very solid art, and if they do get a second season it would be nice if the show's popularity earned it a higher visual standard.

    Now that I've grown fond of both the comic and the cartoon, I'm even thinking of checking out the light novels!
