Interesting, John Wayne indeed wore a black or dark brown hat in his classic western movie The Searchers from 1956.
His character is not the hero in that one, he’s ambivalent in his approach to the situation with the taking of his young niece by the natives (formerly known as Indians) and he’s failing until the very end when he finally comes to terms.
Luke Skywalker Is The Best Movie Hero Of All Time
Another fun thing about colors in SW and how you're brain reads them: Han's jacket in ESB is actually brown, not blue.
Survival of the hosts – yeah I guess that's a good reason. Proud to humbly support!
Thanks to Ken, Joseph and Jennifer! 🌟
Greetings from Scotland, and many thanks for answering my question so well! The Skywalker men do indeed have a penchant for wearing black 😂
Luke's attire tells a story throughout the Trilogy, going from white to beige to black, foreshadowing a potential turn to the dark side like his father before him. The redemption comes at the end of ROTJ when the front flap of his tunic opens to reveal what we knew in our hearts: Luke had the light inside him the whole time.
did you read shadow of the sith?
Luke putting on the classic Jedi robes to properly end the order made me flash back to Lt. Col. Markinson putting on his dress blues before his end in A Few Good Men.
In the words of Johny Cash, "Until things are brighter im the man in black".
Luke was clearly an AC/DC fan.
