Luigi Mangioni going to New York's Rikers Island | NewsNation Now

Luigi Mangioni, who is charged in connection to the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, waived his extradition to New York during a court hearing Thursday. NewsNation learned he will likely be kept in isolation at Riker’s Island because of the high-nature profile of the case.

  1. Lots of sad little people on here with sympathy for a murderer. In the mind of the psycho there is always a justification for murder. He/She cheated on me, someone did me wrong, I was disrespected etc, etc., It's still not justified. It's a sad state of the world that anyone empathizes with him. I've seen quite a few people die in my line of work and it's a tragic and ugly thing. You all need to reexamine your life and your moral compass, if you have one. This coward shot a man in the back. I will continue to pray to God for peace in this world. Sad.

  2. RE the terrorism charge- his notebook mentions that he initially planned on setting off a bomb to take out eh CEO, but decided against it because he didn’t want innocent bystanders to get hurt. If he went the 💣 route, he’d probably have gotten away. Instead, he did a targeted attack and risked being caught himself, to make sure no one else got hurt. The whole 5 days and many miles he was on the run, he doesn’t seem to have hurt a single person. His own book, the evidence, proves he’s the opposite of a terrorist, so the only way they’re getting a guilty verdict on that charge is if they pay off or blackmail the e tire jury.

  3. I don't know what ya ll trying here saying " free Luigi". I understand he did it for healthcare and the corruption of it all but the kid is going to prison for a long long time. Number 1 he killed someone on a recording and number 2, he admitted to the manifesto. The justice system won't let him escape this no matter the protesters. The kid thrown away his life.

  4. They are being so unfair and unjust to Luigi because they want to set an example out of him. Instead of changing the healthcare insurance system, they want to convict him and kill him with death penalty. Worried for Luigi 😢

"I would love to help, but UnitedHealthcare refused to honour the insurance I PAID FOR, so I was denied the eye surgery I needed….sorry…. didn't see a thing"
