Lucy Letby – The Inquiry: Doctors vs Nurses

In this episode Caroline and Liz have the evidence from some of the doctors who worked on the ward with Lucy Letby. They all told the inquiry the numbers of babies collapsing and dying caused staff to think the unthinkable – that a member of staff was harming babies.

Once they did raise concerns with managers they were wrongly told a review had cleared Lucy Letby and they were ordered to write her a letter of apology.

We also heard this week that that senior nurses told the consultants they were incorrect about their suspicions, and, months after she was removed from the ward, they invited Lucy Letby to the staff Christmas party.

  1. An inquest jury has concluded a 15-month-old baby boy died after receiving “inadequate” care at the Countess of Chester Hospital. They died at home from a bacterial infection after visiting the CoCH. It was in 2020, so it contradicts the argument by the doctor near the ending of this podcast.

  2. Who in their right mind would believe, after seeing what's unfolded, that a coroners inquest that could start in February 2017 would take longer than a 7 year criminal investigation that's still ongoing and might not even be safe 🤔

  3. This case is almost unique.. A well-meaning , highly intelligent, caring nurse ( by all accounts from those that have known and worked with her) with no history of mental illness, no psychopathic traits or criminal record and goes completely rogue with no apparent motive and is alleged to have committed one of the greatest mass murders in British legal history and is subsequently found guilty of murdering 7 babies and attempting to murder 7 others over a 12 month period and locked up for the whole of her natural life, yet the pathological autopsies carried out showed no evidence that any baby was categorically murdered, there was never a shred of physical or DNA evidence , no video evidence, no smoking gun and no-one saw her committing murder during the period she is alleged to have committed her reign of terror. Her method of murder has still never been conclusively proved beyond all reasonable doubt and remains a mystery to this day, though the prosecution theorised that she injected air into the babies and introduced insulin into their feeding bags, but it has never been proven. All the prosecution evidence produced at the trial has been circumstantial. In effect they stated she was there and had the opportunity (but no obvious motive) , so therefore she must have murdered them despite no evidence of murder having occurred. Since she was first arrested in 2018 she has consistently stated that she never did any of the things she has been found guilty of, yet the jury decided she was guilty. The whole case more than any in recent history has grabbed the public attention. More recently much of the prosecution evidence presented at the trial has come under intense scrutiny and many aspects of that evidence has now been brought into question.

  4. So the nurses AND the management disagreed thst there was any reason why letby should be accused…so the consultants just "dropped" their concerns that she was a murderer and let her get on with it???…if they really thought she was actively causing harm they would not have shut up about it…whether she did it or not, clearly this was incompetent consultants trying to cover their own asses…

  5. I am SICK of people feeling sorry for the parents.
    1. the parents are for some reason anonymous, they should be named and shamed for facilitating the miscarriage of justice, and they are trying to claim victim compensation which they should not be eligible for as they are not victims.
    2. There was no problem with the defense, the problem was with the dumbass Jury, who should also be named and shamed. Anyone with half a brain would've not found her guilty BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT. They need to demand IQ tests for Jury members; probably made up of dumbass tiktok influencers and loose women viewers.

  6. If Letby is totally innocent, then those continuing to keep her behind bars at this stage in the game, must've known all along she hadn't committed these crimes. If they also know that in all likelihood nobody killed those babies , just natural causes then what is really happening? Is this somekind of ' satanic' ritual being played out ? The wanton sacrifice of an innocent young woman ? The truth may be too shocking to stomach.

  7. Lucy Letby is being framed it's blatantly obvious. Staff members claimed her too be one of these best nurses. Her body language shows calmness due to innocence. She claims to be innocent not pleading guilty.

  8. Dear Liz Hull and members of the Jury. Did you receive your Nigerian lottery winnings after you paid the small admin fee? Since you're so gullible for believing prosecution without them presenting any actual evidence.

  9. Lucy Letby if guilty would the first serial murderer that deployed lots of different modus operandi to kill and was able to do so without doing any research. I am astounded that anyone can continue to assert that she is guilty.
