The first ejection shown here was from a Gloster Meteor, one of the first jets and the first on the Allied side to see service. It is still flying today as it is used by Martin Baker to test their ejection seat.
When the m21 incident happened they didn’t eject at 80,000ft they were able to stay with it till a lower altitude 6 months before the m21 accident bill weaver ejected at 79,000 when they were devolving the sr71 it was the highest and was going mach 3 he survived but his back seated died
I know of two survival injections from an OV-10 on the runway. One was when the pilot blew a tire on takeoff and was heading towards a radar reflector. The other was when the safety pin got threaded through the effection handle between the legs when he held up the pin showing the safety pins have been removed it pulled the D handle. Saw one film of a very brave guy ejecting from a test airplane upside down 500 ft above the ground, he survived. Since people usually get reduced in height a quarter inch after each injection, I really hope he got a good retirement bonus because I believe he would have serious back problems within a year or two.
Russia has mastered in 00 ejection!! But Martin Baker has significantly invested, researched & developed advanced ejection seat & hence's more reliable & comparatively cheap!! Many new Fighter jets including Tejas Mk1a,Tejas Mk2,Jf-17 has Martin baker's ejection seat but I'm damn impressed by the 036 seat which's used in the F-35s…
Everyone the pressure of the water would not break his neck, its like diving into water the corrwct position is the difference between breaking every bone in your body and no injuries at all
Just as an example, the Allenby Bridge (Jordan/West Bank) is the lowest fixed water crossing in the world … just north of the Dead Sea in the Jordan Valley.
The bridge is 1,250 feet (~380m) below mean sea level. Just fly past at 500 feet and eject — you’ll be ejecting at -750 feet.
This guy is so lucky that he wasn’t killed
the drowned part got me thinking, what if my body just too mad to drowned and start breathing water.
Hmm, must do ejection at the Dead Sea
Wtf we should do with 30k feet. Use measurements humans know
The Iowest aItitude ejection l did wus when l got kicked out of my mom‘s house L0L.😅
Its like farting in a bathtub. Why do they smell worse when originating underwater? It's probably not what I think. 🤔
Ouch too many G
You can't exit at this speed 😢

Is this an auto generated voice? I hear this voice in many different videos.
That hurt
Shout out maverick…,. No goose !!
first man to be ejected from a submarine

Ejected at negative 15 feet and LIVED, Impressive!

Thats sad, they got a free swim but not me
Quick thinking??? Or lucky, or both??? Or slow reactions?

The highest was 80k feet, the lowest was -8
Rip to the launch control officer o7 Thank you for your service brother.
That is a record that no one should attempt to break.
The high altitude one wasn't really an ejection. The plane just disintegrated around him instantly
Thats why 5hey call em yankis
A Lockheed F21 is an Indian version of the F16. You sure about the F21 part? Just curious…
Once I learned what ejections do to pilots, they don't seem so cool anymore…
Rip ❤
It’s trivial to eject lower than -15 feet.

Whut
Wow that's some scary shit😮
The pilot underwater was lucky he didn’t get goosed
