Lovebites have a new bassist, her name is Fami, this is a cover she did when she was 17.. (She is 20 now) You might need a seatbelt for this, and allow a couple of hours for rest and recouperalion after vewing.. It's a Japanese song called Alien alien.. I don't think you are ready for this, but take a look if you dare.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_UqztwYAOU

  2. You should try the cellar, much better live sound direct from the speakers. Here, sometimes you can still here some treble and a bit of medium. Midori puts the pick in her mouth to tap, the man notices the muscular arm…

  3. Take your hand off of the pause button. I know the temptation is real. But you have to resist. Listen to the wife. Women usually know whats best for you. LOL. You actually wern't that bad but when you paused twice in the first 20 seconds I had to make fun of it.

  4. They are good – scary good. They are playing against a click track so that they can play all in unison, even though the guitarists are far from each other. And this is needed at this ridiculous speed, they are all playing in sync on milli second level. They had a time when they did not play, partly due to covid but mainly due to their basist Miho left them for personal reasons. But, they are back with a new fantastic bass player, Fami. There are two nice videos (not live) with the new set up in "Judgement day" and "Stand up and deliver". Well worth looking at. In particular I like the "Stand up and deliver", it is both musically good and also shows more personal sides of the band members.

  6. The band is named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song Love Bites (So Do I).
If you think Midori has nice muscles here, check out their new songs, Judgement Day or Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down). In between , she got into competition bodybuilding while the band was on hiatus after the original bassist left in 2021. Heard she placed 2nd in one.

  7. You won’t go wrong if you go down the Lovebites rabbit hole. Others have already mentioned it so I’ll second the motion, you might really enjoy their performance of Swan Song with Chopin Intro where you get to see Miyako shred on the piano.😊

  8. Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.
It is a very wonderful reaction.
    Keep LOVEBITES in your future.
Asami(Vo) has been studying classical ballet from the age of 2 to 18.
Asami (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer.
She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension.
Discover another of Asami's talents, having moved on from R&B and soul.
You can then check Asami's wide-range belt from low to high frequencies.
Miyako(G, Key and Piano Black hair) started taking piano lessons at the age of 3. At the age of 18, she discovered the electric guitar. Miyako was inquisitive and dexterous in everything she did, so she taught herself with a lesson book, and here she is today.
Midori(G) has taken piano lessons since she was 2 years old, electone lessons since she was 13 years old, and electric guitar lessons since she was 20 years old.
Midori(G Those without black hair.) was introduced to the electric guitar while attending a well-known, top-ranked Japanese pharmaceutical university. She enrolled in the music school MI JAPAN Osaka to become a guitarist and dropped out of pharmacy school.
Haruna(Dr) can also play piano to some extent.
Haruna started learning to play the drums at the age of 13.
Haruna's amazing endurance, concentration and improved technique have taken LOVEBITES to another level.
    Haruna's favorite band is "Helloween".
Miho(Ba First bassist) can also play piano and drum to some extent.
    Bassist in this song.
Fami(Ba A new bassist) can play bass guitar, lead guitar, piano and violin.
Fami is also great at keeping up with Haruna without any difficulty.
In Japan, piano lessons are often chosen for early childhood education.
The delicate, fast touch of their fingertips may be the result of piano lessons in childhood.
    P.S.
    Someone should correct any mistakes!

  11. Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition. On many occasions first time reactors usually are left speechless, stunned and blown away. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Some of their songs are uplifting, with a motivational message.
Unfortunately Miho (bass) left the band in August, 2021, but a few months ago the band announced the new bass player, Fami; so now they’re ready to set the world on fire. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “Set the world on fire”, “The awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Above the Black Sea”, “Under the red sky”, “Scream for me”, “Shadowmaker”, “When destinies align”, “Raise some hell”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”; and for a different side of them: "Chopin Etude + Swan song”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “Glory to the world”, “Frozen serenade”, "Liar", "Spellbound". All live (please avoid Bloodstock because audio is not good, not their fault). BTW, their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was so successful. They toured Asia and Europe in 2018 and 2019. They toured the UK in 2019, supporting Dragonforce (they're good friends, by the way)
    Lineup:
    Haruna – Drums
Miho – Ex Bass, backing vocals
    Fami – New bassist
Midori – Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako – Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami – Lead vocals, some piano

  12. Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background:

They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).

Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.

In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3uGjp-P7DI

The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.

They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99zsH6iG_6c from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
    “Don’t Bite the Dust” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHnKGEj1CMc, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl0-U-ykJCU They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXh_uMM94jU;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae8pQVu-RN8.

Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBhtqgiXEA4.

For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Pc0XK0lNmU includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.

For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ynnXDfEnnY (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)

While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
    "Shadowmaker" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brmoln5Gxus
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLFelI93VkM
    "Glory to the World" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wJtD2XEXH4
    "Winds of Transylvania" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsE4Ub_Pjh8.

Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far—I encourage you to see and decide for yourself!

You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

  15. Great reaction. I love watching the chins of first timers to LOVEBITES hit the floor 😂. I see a lot of info has already been posted in the comments so I'll just add that the muscles, on one of the guitarists that you noticed, are much more pronounced now (see their MV Judgement Day) and that the singer is a lofty 4ft 10in. The drummer (the awesome Haruna) is only 4ft 9in.

  16. Hi there.. I've been checking out your YouTube channel and I didn't see the best band you maybe, never heard of.. 3 sisters from Mexico who absolutely rock.. they've been on tour with MUSE, HALESTORM, FOO FIGHTERS, GUNS N ROSES.. and more.. all 3 sing, the drummer is a genius who sings while drumming in some songs. I think they might be the best band to come along in many years. They did a remake of ENTER SANDMAN for Metallica's Blacklist Album. It's absolutely awesome, so different it's a whole new song.. they write all their own stuff and their sound is, to say the least "MASSIVE" Best seen live.. try anything from their show at TEATRO METROPOLITAN CDMX. Enter Sandman, Disciple, Animosity, Martirio is my favorite.. you can thank me later.. TWA (The Warning Army) will show up in support of this band and your channel.. TWA🎶🤟☮️
