  5. CORRECTION? 1:00:04 I'm not sure if this is a correction, because it has been confirmed, but the Capcom leak that happened not too long ago included a 鬼武者新作 (Onimusha New Work) in the list of games coming from Capcom, so I'd say it has a better chance than Turok does.

  12. Immersion doesn't equal realism necessarily. Every protagonist has bottomless item pockets and doesn't need to go poop. It's more about consistency. If Sonic instantly sinks/drowns upon hitting a body of water, but later in a cutscene he goes overboard yet swims to safety…that's ludonarrative dissonance and immersion breaking. That said, some inconsistencies we've become quite used to and tend to forgive (even if makes no sense), such as absorbing 30 bullets in gameplay yet a single bullet is fatal in a cutscene. Probably cuz neither the developer nor players want to die or be gravely incapacitated from a handful of shots in a mainstream power fantasy shooter, etc.

    I love this game, best part of any podcast, has me grinning from ear to ear every time.

    The phrases are so generic that it's a shocker that only one reviewer has ever used them.

    Here I was so certain about the phrases belonging to Ben or Jones, I could just hear them using these words, but I was probably right less than forty percent of the time!

    I would love a longer podcast based on this game by Zyryanov and longer discussions about how everybody who hasn't used these phrases can fit them in more and why those who have used them have been so particular about them.

  24. PS1 games I reckon you all haven't played – Valkyrie Profile, Wild Arms 1 & 2, Breath of Fire 3 & 4, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Vandal Hearts, Galerians, King's Field I, II & III, Echo Night 1 & 2, Koudelka. There's loads of great games people skipped out on like these.

  35. Graphics vs framerate for me, usually depends on the type of game I'm playing. I love survival horror which imo benefits from heightened atmosphere that graphics offer. For example callisto protocol or even the ps5 version of re2 remake. I'll definitely be playing ray traced dead space when it releases. You don't need super quick character models in horror. Now a game like gow ragnarok or dmc, I'd rather go with framerate. Basically anything with high action.

  39. 56:00 Not really a correction, but an addition. Godzilla is also in Fall Guys, and was actually one of the first few promotional costumes way back in 2020. After the Free to Play update this year they also added Mothra, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla.
