We talk so much about 'rushing' and 'catching up' or whatever — what is there to rush for? What are players competing to achieve? PvP is agnostic of progression, PvE is completely un-rated and at-your-own-pace. I've heard about guild wars and guild PvP but not sure what significance there is to that. What is the POINT of progression in Lost Ark, except to unlock more progression? This is something nobody seems able to explain to me.
Mind you, I'm enjoying the game, but often finding myself unmotivated to progress at all because I don't see what I'm working toward. Especially cannot understand anyone rushing through this stuff. Would love for someone to explain this in a way that might click for me, because I think I'd have a lot more fun playing if I had a goal.
swipe card – buy gold – dont use it. Pile up the gold as the trade off is high right now but will go lower meaning u get less gold per $ trade off later so you gain x2 to x5 more right now than you would later and on top of material cost drops tremendeously aswell to the point where you can affort so much to massivly catapult yourself forward far more than some that spend real money aswell but will be far behind
Catchup mechanics are necessary i think… the early game content will probably start losing players and queue times will get longer. I'm a late starter and I play really casually so I'm noticing this when I try to make an event time.
Don't see the point of rushing in this game. For what? it's been out for several years. FOMO over what?

I just want more classes. Why lock us out of classes. Just release them at a minimum more than 1 at a time.
I'm in no rush to get to max ilvl, as long as I'm close to my friends.

i had my first charecter at 1096 after running my dailies and i spend around 5k to get to teir 3. probably a waste but i really wanted to do it so i did it. will be saving pretty much everything else
If they release catchup mechanics within the first year I will straight up quit. That is total nonsense.
I can't see how they keep adding new content, with no way to get to that content in a reasonable time frame, unless you make the game a full time job.
The only problem with Stacking gold is that if a lot of people stack gold then the market price for the materials also increases because they is more gold in the economy to recycle.
Very well put for those who have been in that FOMO mindset or just a pure rush to catch up to the other players that are at that point in the game. Game is a marathon not a race

It’s more like they’re going to have to or the game is going to die. The only reason people gave this Korean MMO a shot inspite the bad rep is because it had a good reputation of yeah you can whale but you don't need to spend to whale to participate it doesn't squeeze you. That was the pitch by streamers who tried it before and by the devs and even regular ppl who tried it, everyone. This shit we got ain't that game they sold people on.
content drops are now considered fomo? jesus fucking christ.. the copium on people… i get it, you want to be more positive and hopeful for a game you really love but christ.. your game has issues, its valid criticism. I find it hilarious how people say its now considered rushing to do new content that has dropped. Everyone should not be paywalled into new content drops on release, at least for those who have been actively playing since day 1.

Why not put these catch up mechanics in from the get go? Why do we have to wait based off rumors? If Amazon could at the very least give us an official roadmap on these changes it would be easier to know if pushing to endgame or chilling is warranted. It's such a shitshow man

I’m only 1063 I don’t feel like I need to rush at all there is so much to do in the game I just fine it odd there so much focus on the end game that is not the end game!!
1 or 2 months for 1415 raid ..if they're not goin to introduce the catch up mechanic .. imma quit this game for good lmao
There's a stupid amount of content in T1 including the chaos dungeons, raids, and the 8 guardians. I just finished T1 and see no reason to rush to argos. I'm ok with the whales doing Argos first only because there still is an absurd amount of content in this game
They are delaying Valtan. That tweet said alot. But we need the other sources of mats and honing raids increases

They have throttled this game to make it a cash grab, people spending thousands yet the devs cant set a clock haha. They absolutely knew removing resource acquisition methods while giving us a lower honing chance would bottleneck people here. They developed a problem to put the solution in the cash shop…
You may want to account for gold inflation. Stacking gems may be a better option

They’re rushing to get to T3 but can’t even get through T2 and T1 Abyssals LOL take your damn time and enjoy the game it’s only been a month!
But I make most of my gold selling t1 stuff on the ah. From books to upgrade mats
I hit t3 last week and the mats were selling at twice the price it is today. I sold a bunch the first few days. But getting there first can also be lucrative.

My plan in lost ark this entire time has been to earn as much gold as possible to convert to gems under the assumption that one day they will be crazy expensive. This strat has kind of sucked for t3 due to gems not having a ton of use for t3 progression, but it has been great for all that horizontal progression as I've been able to buy all the life potions, cards, and rapport stuff from mari's.
DO NOT STACK GOLD. THIS IS A STUPID IDEA. What you want to stack is blue crystals. We are the only region were monthly subscription is buyable with ingame money and crystals in korea right now are 1900 gold for 95 and in russia its 1500 for 95 were us is at 800 tops. Furthermore when it comes to materials Maris shop for t3 mats will be way better than any deal you might find in auction house for at least the next 6 months or more. The other part is that they are buffing gold from abyss dungeons which will cause gold inflation and easy gold sources like books will soon heavily devalue. If you are sitting in more than 20k gold immediately buy crystals.

i dont think they should delay content in terms of higher ilvl raids, they need to release these things in order to catch up to KR and RU content, unless they freeze all content updates for KR and RU we will never catch up to them with the amount of people on EU and NA complaining that content is coming out too quick.
stop worrying about others, focus on your gameplay, do what you can do, and progress how you want to progress. but dont cuck the rest of the people who have grinded their hjearts out or paid to win by us having no new content for many months.
