  1. Why is there so much hatred for our first responders? Sure, not everyone is a Sherriff in Mayberry, but you see some horrific stuff on the street. It is difficult to not become inured to what is out there. And why spin this into some grand conspiracy theory? If you are really creative, perhaps you can find a way to blame Trump for this. I live in a fairly safe neighborhood, and I'm on my toes with my spider sense on 11 to even go outside at night. I used to take my little dog for a walk around the block but stopped after some mental homeless guy stabbed a young pregnant girl at 10 in the morning and killed her two blocks away. Have some compassion for the victims and start locking up the crazies.

  2. This is heartbreaking for the family. I've been on the receiving end of a world-shattering knock on the door at 9 years old. We went to the door and saw the sheriff and another Federal Agent crying on our porch. They told us that my Dad's helicopter from the Drug Task Force was missing. Three days later they found it and my Dad and the National Guard pilot. My prayers are with this officer's family.

  3. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) has a long history of deputy sheriffs forming secret subgroups at stations in minority communities. These subgroups have tattoos, hand signals, and rituals that are similar to a criminal street gang.
