From what I remember Sauron goes by Annatar during the forging of the rings. So that is probably what he will go by in this series.
And Halbrand looks a lot like Aragorn to me, I’m guessing that will have a lot to do with his future.
I agree with the theory that Halbrand is the Dead Ghost King. I don’t think we have seen Sauron yet.
Halbrand isn't sauron, the stranger isn't sauron, galadriel and Nori are NOT going to be proven idiots in the next few episodes. That's my take hehe
maybe the broken sword acts like the ring and corrupts whoever keeps it?
Halbrand is either either the King of the Dead or Witch-king of Angmar.
My theory is that he’s one of the 9, maybe even the Witch King. Especially since the Witch King has no backstory, I feel like it would be the perfect time for them to introduce a backstory for one of Sauron’s most loyal and deadly servants
My money is on Halbrand being the Witch King of Angmar
Anson Boon is listed as portraying Annatar
I have a better theory: Amazon's writers couldn't think of a compelling story for Halbrand so instead of investing energy and creativity, they just rebranded Aragorn. Only a theory, of course.
The series is shite av stop watching now.
That Daddy Sauron comment made me choke on my coffee 😂😂😂
Isn't it great that we can have so many theories about Halbrand and other characters, and for every theory there are good arguments? That's good writing!
I really don’t think he’s Sauron at all. Several of my friends think he may be the King of the Dead who betrayed Isildur but most of us, myself included think he will be the Witch-King. I think he will be around for relevant confrontations and battles and will catch Sauron’s, ahem….. Eye. Theo will be Khamûl (Ringwraith second-in-command) or the Mouth of Sauron because he seems a bit more transfixed and consumed by the blood thirsty sword hilt.
And Celebrimbor really seems to already be penpals with “Sir not appearing as Annatar in this show because the name is only used in a book they don’t have rights to” so I think he has the “By spring” deadline because Sauron has already made some form of contact with Celebrimbor. The timelines are condensed and the rights will make it foggy on how they will do it, but the 20 Rings of power were made, he revealed himself as Sauron, then went to Númenor as himself without disguise because he wasn’t permanently ugly yet.
They would get far more shock value with getting us attached to the future Ringwraiths then have them tragically fall than try to fake us out with who’s Sauron. My money is on Sauron being Adar or he hasn’t yet even been revealed which is better.
Denethor & cherry tomatoes 👏👏👏
I thought he was an ancestor of Rohan king,
but he could be anyone. Maybe no one.
If he's sauron how come sauron is with the orcs still I the southlands?southland? That's who we saw at the end of episode 3 in his elvish form
saouron surrendered himself to numenorians he didnt go there by accident sir so he is propaably not sauronn
If halbrand would be sauron, why he rescued galadriel when she fell in the water?
Maybe he's Sauron during the time when he regretted and wanted to start anew. Before "he fell back into evil, for the bonds that Morgoth had laid upon him were very strong."
In that case it might not be the best idea to bring him back to the Southlands.
Hahahaha Halbrand rocked this show allready
Where was Halbrand heading when the sea serpent attacked; the only place it could've been is Numenor. We know the Valar control the seas and the creatures within, therefore I'm theorizing that creature was sent by them to stop Halbrand. Which doesn't bode well for his character. He seems totally obsessed with smithing and staying there, which doesn't bode well for Numenor. Which Tolkien characters were obsessed with smithing and you can narrow it down to who he actually is.
Sauron was a blacksmith before he turned evil. Halbrand taking an interest is a big tell.
Adar is way too obvious. Halbrand is least obvious despite how his dialogue is full of Sauron references every other line.
He's just knockoff Aragorn.
The Orks come from elves is not 100% true, Tolkien changed the origin numerous of times so it's hard to say which way they go in the show
Another borrowed idea from Ryan Aery in Screen Crush. Great Job Dan 😂. #neveroriginal
Or he could be the failed Aragon and becomes the Witch King.
What if Halbrand is Talion from shadow war? I think this is possible
How to TRASH a mountain of money to POLITICAL LINE OF VIEW. CRAZY.
I think we only met the real Halbrand briefly when him and Galadriel first meet. After the sea monster attacks, its Sauron in disguise.
Halbrand would be a Nazgul, maybe the Master.
It's possible that he could be the Witch King before he became a wraith or he could be Khamul second in command of the Nazgul.
I swear… if they make Halbrand become Sauron…. worst show ever
My vote is for Halbrand being one of the Nine, but not necessarily the Witch King.
I'm gutted if we have seen sauron yet.
Halbrand will turn into the Balrog for sure
