Loot luck is broken for PVE in New World 1.1. Here is why on the best chest run in New World. Before the New World 1.1 patch this was the very best chest run in New World. I would get at least one epic or legendary drop per run. On occasion sometimes two. What wasn’t normal was getting nothing.
Then with the update the devs adjusted the loot luck tables in hopes to give a nice boost to PVP players but to also not flood the market with epic and legendary Drops. Well that has failed on an economy wrecking scale on my server Celadon.
Unfortunately what this means for you as a PVE player is you almost have no hope of finding an epic or legendary drop from doing the best chest run in New World… Unless you flag..
How can I say this? Well I have max luck gear, I have above average luck jewelry, and I have 3 luck bags. I even have a special sword with luck and a shield. Every slot is augmented with pristine pearls. I also have three major loot luck trophies in my houses.
Basically in a nutshell unless you flag PVP in New World you have less of a chance than me and I can’t find anymore loot as PVE from stockpile chests. If I flag on the other hand I find loot at an even better rate than before the New World 1.1 update.
This situation isn’t about PVE players sucking it up and flagging cause they are basically losing nothing if they don’t. Everything stays the same right in New World 1.1? Well you would be wrong. The loot luck tables have been adjusted to the point you actually need to get lucky to find loot in stockpiles. Something I haven’t been able to do PVE as of yet after this update. So good luck with that.

Guess I will have to find a different pve mmo. I like New World but the tug a war between pve and pvp is making this a very weird experience.

You did find a purple schematic in this video – " The Headsman". But yeah chests seem a lot less rewarding after patch.
