  1. That's unfortunate. I've been eyeing this game for months. Seeing your review and then others, everyone is saying the same drawbacks.
Guess this won't be a day one purchase.

  2. Looping games definitely need that feeling of every loop meaning something and building your sense of achievement towards the ultimate goal. The best loop game out there is The Outer Wilds, and I cannot wait for it to hit the Switch.

  3. Thanks for the review! I've had this in my wish list for quite some time now but I'll move it to my "wait for a sale list" instead. Games that have such clear potential to be incredible but fall short of the mark make me sad. 🙁

  4. Hmmmm yeah not my jam. As soon as I heard the words "29 hrs in" I was certain. Absolutely agree with the loop mechanic being repetitive and shallow.

Some reviews have mentioned the AI of fellow team mbrs is unbearable during the boss encounters.
Big skip. Money preserved. Time saved.

  5. dont worry i watch a jrpg reviewer who absolutely slated this game. thankfully our tastas are similar (jrpgs) and opposite; so i am willing to give it a go (think i have more patience ffor clunky mechanics)

  6. I’m enjoying the game so far. It’s no 10/10, but I honestly really like games that aren’t perfect for some reason. Definitely worth giving it a try as long as you know what to expect going into it.

  7. My comment is geared towards the reviewer not the game reviewed. It seems these days when someone gets a copy to review they don't seem to give a completely honest review. Maybe they fear it will hurt their rep with the company giving them the games to play and rate, I don't know. Anyway this has burned me many times until subscribing to Switch Corner. I will not buy anything until I hear their take on it. I think they do a fantastic job and always post professional well informed honest videos. At least when it comes to my Switch games the days of disappointment are over. Thanks guys

  8. “Tease them”
    > game only shows one person
… why doesn’t it just say “tease”? This obsession with putting a misused plural pronoun every that millennials translation colonisers is awful.

  9. This gives me major P4 vibes with its small town coming of age story vibe. I do really find that alone may carry this one for me, I have a soft spot for anything P4 like.

  10. I haven’t been getting notifications of your videos. I have them turned to all on. Smh. Sorry mates. I was excited for this game the animations look great, I’m a bit disappointed to be honest.

  12. I want to get the Celestial edition because of the perks. But I feel like it's not worth to get it. Many reviewers said this game has a lot of downsides, and it's pricey. :((

  13. Totally unrelated fun fact. In Spain a "Nini" is someone who lives with his/her parents but doesn't want to study and doesn't want to look for a job either. "Ni estudia Ni trabaja" (no study, no job). Nini!

  14. No one has mentioned a very core mechanic and it's very sad! Early on IN THE TUTORIAL you get an ability to see what your party is about to do and what the boss does. Until learning skills your party making a STATEMENT is buff and a battle shout is base attack. YOU CAN ALSO HEAL YOURSELF! The game got easier when I realized this.
Another mechanic everyone I've seen review LOOP8 has failed to realize is ALWAYS GET A PARTY BEFORE HUNTING BLESSINGS because those in the party can get perma buffs if you fail to get one. I've seen no one mention or do this! =/
