Yeah i also don't get what issue treyarch had with camping. Zombies was, initialy, an arcade defence mode, and while that changed for the most part in shi no numa, this map was the killing blow.When i hear people disuse this it sounds like over time training became more and more effective, when in my opinion it was a lot more sudden. And i still don't know why, it's not like the zombies can write agry emails complaining about campers, plus whatever horror aspect a map might have, is copletely lost since you know you can outrun them
I've never been much of a fan of COTD but I respect those who do like it. George pretty much single-handedly ruined the map for me since he takes so much freedom away from the player. It's not really that I love camping, but I do value having the option to do so, so Treyarch practically deleting that playstyle from the map was a bad move. Not only that but he's frequently getting in the way as you try to traverse the map, and anytime you accidentally piss him off you have to stop whatever you're doing and run all the way to the water to calm him down. These things might be tolerable if there was a way to permanently get rid of him, but of course there isn't. His healthpool is so high it's utterly cartoonish, so removing him regularly isn't a reasonable strategy either.
I love watching your videos zombies reborn especially the zombie season concept video so much I came up with my own. If anyone likes it I may continue. But to start I’m just gonna give the basic descriptions of the four maps as well as there current names. I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from the chaos story for this concept.
The basic idea of the overall story is an ancient cult is trying to gather five or six artifacts to try to harness the power of the “harvenger of doom” either a traditional demon or a redesign of the shadow man. The four crew members are found to be immune to the virus and must use this power to more or less save the world.
Here are the map basics.
Map one: secret prison facility it’s called “fuga” meaning escape in Latin. A likely Russian agency kidnapped the four characters to figure out what makes them special. As there base gets over run the crew team up to escape.
Map two: university map called ”propter scientiam” or “for the sake of science”. The crew travels here in an attempt to gather data to develop a cure for the virus as well as figure out what caused it.
Map three/four: hidden cave system and grotto containing a hidden pirate ship. The crew travels hear to attempt to find the final artifact before the cult that is believed to be hidden here. The map is Called “sumptus opes” meaning “the cost of wealth”
Map three/four: origin map set in a dark carnival following a new crew. The cult travels hear before the events of the story to gather another artifact in the possession of the carnivals ring master. Then the create the zombie trial in an attempt to kill the circus as a sacrifice. It’s called lux in tenebris meaning light in darkness
Map 5: This map is in the source of the infection found hidden deep under the Vatican City. Take the fight to the heart and confront the orchestrator to attempt to end the infection once and for all. The map would be named ”ira caeli” meaning wrath of heaven.
