Our First Time Watching: Loki Episode 02 (The Variant):
Loki joins a Time Variance Authority (TVA) mission to the site of an attack by the fugitive variant of him in 1985 Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They find that TVA Hunter C-20 has been kidnapped, but Loki derails the mission by stalling and attempting to bargain his way into immediately meeting the Time-Keepers, who supposedly created the TVA and the Sacred Timeline. He also requests assurances that he will not be killed after the Variant is caught. TVA analyst Mobius M. Mobius realizes that Loki is lying about the Variant being nearby, so the TVA resets this branched timeline.

  1. When you finish the first season, do not continue onto the second season. There are lots of movies and shows that happened between the seasons and you will get spoiled on some of the stuff. So after the first season, continue watching all of the other stuff until you get to the point in time where the second season is being released.

  2. Just so you know, when they 'reset the timeline', they don't reset it back to an earlier time, they PRUNE the timeline. Meaning, they erase the entire timeline!
Billions of people, just basically, 'snapped' out of existence.
    Pretty brutal, eh?!
    This show is CRAZY! 🤘🤪🍻

  3. If you never grew up with processed junk food like in Asgard and then sat around for say 5 yrs barely doing any exercise and a steady diet exclusively of it your body wouldn't really be able to properly metabolize it and that's how Thor got so fat..

  4. The Variant jacket was a huge seller when after this episode aired. They where flying off the shelves at Marvel section of the Disney California Adventure theme park each time I went there.

  5. So many Easter eggs in these episodes. Just cleverly hidden. For instance a small Easter egg is Ravona Renslayers hunters helmet on her shelf when she grabbed the pruning baton the designation on the helmet was "A-23" and the comic issue where ravona renslayer first appeared was "Avengers Issue #23"

  6. Remember, this Loki wasn't there for Ragnarok. He was taken out of the timeline at the end of the first Avenger's movie, before he was taken back to Asgard to stand trial before Odin. So the scene where he is reading about the destruction of Asgard was him learning that his home was completely destroyed. Very emotional scene when you realize the context.

  7. Yes, it can be hard to remember, but this Loki only experienced the first Thor movie and the first Avenger's movie. Not Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, or Avengers: Infinity War. So he did not end up in prison, or lose both of his adoptive parents or fake his own death and take Odin's place.

  8. This is so much fun, I am really enjoying watching you react to this. Fun fact; in norse mythology (I'm from Sweden, this was taught to us in middle school), Loke is genderfluid and the mother of a whole bunch of creatures, like Oden's favorite eight-legged horse Sleipner, the Fenris Wolf that we saw in Thor Ragnarok, the World Serpent that one day will kill Thor, and Hela, the goddess of Death. He is also Oden's foster brother.

  9. People overlook huge mistakes.
LOki is a frost giant, he can stand up to thor one to one and can fight captain america in hand to hand, but in this show a regular human can kick his ass? he lost his magic, hoe do youl lose your strenght?
