Local Weather Update: After One More Cool Day, Temps Heat Up For Sunday

After a chilly morning (except in my hot hell) with lows in the mid 50s (and 40s for the Pine Barrens) sunshine and cirrus level clouds in the afternoon with southerly winds kept cool temps in place once again with highs only in the mid 70s on Long Island. After a weak disturbance tonight, Tomorrow we get more of a westerly flow which will bring in more heat, with mid to upper 80s across Long Island before sea breezes drop temps later in the afternoon, with plenty of sun. Much weaker breezes for your Monday, Labor Day will mean even hotter temps with a low of us reaching 90 or higher.
