I set out on a journey to the high north to meet the Inuit communities that brave the harshest winters in the world. This documentary is my attempt to bring their story to you.

  1. LMFAO! The arrogance of man… It is us in the modern world who are just barely SURVIVING, while those Johnny visited seem to me, to be THRIVING! What the difference? Connection!!!!!!

  2. I’m always amazed at how much more advanced Hunter-gatherer groups are in their perception of life and fulfilment despite being labelled “uncivilised”. Truly amazing video

  4. I don't agree with any of this. Just because in our human evolution we are much closer to these people and neanderthals than we are to modern humans. These are the last remnants of stubborn humans that will parish because they refuse to change. Even though they know there is a better way for humans to thrive. If they were smart they would find a balance between modernization and their cultural ways in order to protect it. But they aren't. And they won't.

  5. This left me with one big question. The main story is how Greenlandic culture has withstood the attempts of assimilation, and therefore has a future. But another big part is how deeply rooted the culture is in its natural environment. Now the threat of people is gone, but a new threat is here where the environment itself, which is the absolute core of the culture, might not be there in 100 years, and it does not look like something that can be overcome.

  6. This was such an awesome video. I can't explain all the personal feelings it gave me, but I got goosebumps several times during it. This is the closest I've connected to something produced in this way since Anthony Bourdain died. All of your stuff is great, but PLEASE do more videos like this.

  7. i mean, if ur born in such a harsh environment, u really cant give it up for modern life. there is no living out there without survival knowledge. so i dunno why that was a question to begin with
