i'm not sure if i missed it, but how does he manage to stay in thailand long-term? regular visa runs? i was under the impression that people really can't do that anymore. just curious.
Mike is dialed in. Be like Mike.
My dream is to live on my Social Security only and not touch my 401k until I have to.
This seems doable.
But how does one simply move to Thailand without being employed by a Thai organization, investing in property, or purchasing an overpriced long-stay visa?
Want to know about that cheap accommodation?
Incredibly helpful info once again Chris.
Despite all the push back and many naysayers, you can absolutely live comfortably in Thailand on between $1,000-$1500 USD per month. This video is just another data point confirming that fact. Oh and by the way, Samui also happens to be expensive by Thailand standards – so there's that.
The longer you live out here the easier it gets I spent a lot less I own my own scooter make my own breakfast my rent is the same 9k my health insurance is $600 it's gone down 10%😁 I live on my own just see my girlfriend at weekends on the whole I ave around 1k so it's more than easy to do if you stay out of the bars and keep out of the fancy restaurants and lady entertainment 😁👍🏼
I'd already be living in Thailand if I had a fancy remote laptop job.
Sure, meals and rent is cheaper. Health care is a huge cost, not just a monthly insurance premium. Can’t live on $1k/mo if you get in moto accident, want to travel back to homeland, have a computer, photography equipment, etc.
I like these videos showing prices that I can send to my friends.
I would love this comment to enter me in your flight drawing! My husband and I cannot wait to come to Thailand and also make use of Teenee!
curious to know what visa he has and does he pay Thai income tax.
You good Sir, are awesome! Thank you and keep up the, “very well” put together content.
Your videos helps me a lot to plan my upcoming retirement 😊I can dream a bit and picture me rollin
great vid chris, im living the dream too on a slightly smaller budget but everyone has different lifestyles.
Koh Sumui 🙄🙄its no better than anywhere else in Thailand
what ya think are pristine waters are full of garbage and rubbish floating past
i work in ocean tourism in Australia and was disgusted by the waterways in Thailand
took a kayak about 200 meters offshore for a paddle spent the next hr picking out rubbish with my paddle
Had to remind myself that i was on holiday not there to solve Thailand's garbage problem
By time got back to beach had Huge pile of plastic rubbish on Kayak .. no bins on or near beach to put it
Thailand was a Huge disappointment , only thing good about Thailand was the food and shopping !
He needs to buy a second hand bike.
Thank you! Few of us backpackers are still watching you too
Absolutely incredible!
Nearly 10x the rent cost in Austin indeed. As the city has boomed, so has the greed.
Hey buddy where's the best place to get insurance in Thailand.
The General
“Operation Kho Sumui”. You’re in the circle of trust now dude. ⭕️
Another great Vid Chris.
I know you've talked about visas before, but it'd be great to go on an actual (video)Visa Run, step by step, with you or Adam. The varients are still a bit confusing to me.
Cheers!
If I did not have kids I would be on the next flight there 😭
ESpecially Safe n less Crime . I stay at Bangkok recently .
I'm currently on Koh Tao,1st time in Thailand..
I met Mike during my 1st breakfast on Koh Samui,a few weeks ago.
I was naturally excitable ,whist ppl watching..
What I noticed about Mike was his huge grin ,which got me talking to him..
Directed me on how to purchase a SIM card..
You just can't fake that type of happiness..
Well done ,good luck.
You Tubers in Thailand now need work permits?
Thai tips! :You should buy a 1 year new sim with internet plan from Shoppy or Lazada (seach :ซิมเน็ตเทพ ) cost aroud 1200-. For 1 year 4G+ internet running at 1+ Mbps. (realspeed) almost as fast as typical home Wifi. Just registered it under your name (Normal process can be done online too) at AIS,TRUE,DTAC counter you can find anywhere and you're good to go
What’s Facebook?
Being retired there is not much chance of me surviving on a grand a month Would have to give up to many of life’s little pleasures and that would hardly be worth it
I don’t believe
Beach looks terrible
Great informative video!
I do wonder about visa stuff though and how future save is a digital nomad income that only reliefs on managing a facebook website and a youtube channel? People leave and get bored of certain content and ive seen a trend of people move away from facebook alltogether.
Thank you for this wonderful video! I have incurred so much losses trading on my own….I trade well on demo but I think the real market is manipulated…. Can anyone help me out or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong?
