  1. It's obscene that 16 year olds are given excuses because of their age when it comes to certain crimes. Yes, they tend to be more immature and impulsive. This was not a crime of immaturity and impulse.

  2. He had a smug look and dupers delight smile throughout his statement, right up until sentence. And it was wiped away when he heard the sentence and realized it didn't work. Well done Judge.

  3. With that mouth of his and his looks he’s going to be very popular in prison.
Who knows what that monster did and got away with before the murder! I think he crossed the line and got caught, so it’s quite possible a future serial killer was stopped. I hope the only way he gets out of prison is in a wood box.

  4. 35 years is an insult to her and her family! He’ll spend less time in prison that she was alive and that’s wrong. If he manages to get out at age 53 he’ll still be young enough to commit more murders because I don’t see him being rehabilitated at all. If he does come out alive a better person than he was going in then that will be a miracle. I prefer he comes out in a wood box with his name on it.

  7. He showed no remorse and doesnt show any emotion..stares ahead..blank look on his face.

Just prayer for everyone involved. Jesus saves souls.
    That's all you can do.
But by NO means should his "under" 18 yrs of age have ANYTHING to do with his sentencing.

Family will never be the same again. 💜🙏😥

  8. I'm curious nothing was brought up on him, them, being on drugs. I spoke with one of Chaiden's classmates a week after the act. She said they had regularly been on marijuana, psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and liquor. Other accounts informed me they may have been on a dangerous mind altering inhalant. They must have taken something that seriously altered their reality and obliterated their sense of self and conscience! Otherwise, at age 16 your DNA wouldn't allow one to go off the plank like that and commit such an atrocity.

  9. He will not even be able to interact outside of prison at that age. I see this young man being in institutions for the rest of his life unless he rehabilitates genuinely.

  10. It's insane that he was more concerned about not getting into college than he was robbing a person of their life and ending up in prison for the rest of his. My God. Was he pressured by his parents to be academically perfect??? Still, how did it come down to murder???

  11. The biggest wakeup call to all parents who are against spankings their child. When they can speak a sentence. They can explain their frustration with discipline and acknowledge that hurting others or being ignorant has consequences. A small tap multiple times. Slows the brain from this type of impulse reactions the judge said happened. Screw his mom and dad. And screw the judge for not using common sense. 20yrs is life. This is just more tax payer dollars for someone who would have been only 30-40+ yrs old after 20yrs. The most productive time in this kids life. Not age 40yrs old+. We will be paying taxes for his usefulness when he is free. Living off govt housing.

  13. Each state laws are different. But I've heard much Worse cases were the person killed .never got life in prison. And was out after serving 7 years. . Children should not be sentenced to life in prison. Our laws in this country.are backwards.

  14. that person is inherently evil and that is not going to change. Sadly some are born that way, it is in their DNA – lacking empathy and real human emotions – can't change the DNA….
