My uncle's downstairs neighbour fell asleep with a cigarette in her hand and set her flat up in flames. She was sadly killed in the fire. Thankfully none of the other residents were injured or killed. His flat was not damaged by flames but there was severe smoke damage throughout the flat and he had to be moved out for nearly a year whilst they repaired the roof and cleared all the damage caused in all the flats. I can guarantee that the block Chantal is in is much bigger and does not have the building regulations that we have over here. She needs to be so damn careful
