Blanco Cafe has been filthy for decades. It's been a while since I've been there, but the last time I was there, I just sat without eating while my friends ate. This place is not well-maintained.
I never eat out here in San Antonio, Texas in general, its to gross, the weather here is partly to blame, humidity and heat are breeding grounds for bugs….and the summers being exceptionally hot,you can bet those kitchens that probably aren't cleaned correctly are going to have bugs.
I NEVER eat out. Sadly even my processed food is manufactured in vermin infested facilities. The FDA allows so many percentages of foreign substances in cereals and other processed and packaged foods.
The manager speaking should have been humbled. Instead she was trying to minimize the importance of the issues addressed. Saying "we weren't ready" tells you they don't always follow the health and sanitary guidelines. They skimp on doing the right thing as long as they get away with it. That's not good practice.

San Antonio restaurants have gone downhill with this cleanliness…no pride.

That stupid Blanco Café has always gotten a bunch of hype, it ain’t nothing, food is subpar, never really got why It was so popular.
Their customers are ok with it. It adds seasoning to their visit. 😂😊
