LIVE from the ISS: NASA Astronaut Don Pettit on Space Photography



Join us for a special episode of NSF Live featuring NASA astronaut and astrophotographer Don Pettit, joining us from the International Space Station. Don launched aboard Soyuz MS-26 in September 2024 and is currently part of the Expedition 72 crew.

We’ll explore the techniques and challenges of capturing images in space, a field in which Don has created a remarkable portfolio, including stunning star trails and other unique views of Earth and the cosmos.

The Interview is conducted by NSF photographer Jack Beyer. Following the interview with Don Pettit, he will be joined by NSF photographers Max Evans and D Wise.

  2. Wow, well done NSF, short of sending Jack, Dee or Max to the ISS (you'll have to be quick)! That's the closest we'll get to experiencing taking photos from space. Don is such a star, I soo need an Orbital Sidereal drive now 😀
