  1. Reed was in straight professor mode this morning. Had to rewatch a few times to understand him 😆

Good luck with your chase and good luck to all those in the path (myself included) 🍀

  2. We live just north of Springdale and was woken up just a little past four with a tornado warning but it was all ready on the ground chewing up people's lives. Thankfully no deaths but a lot of injuries.

  3. I do like the idea of putting pressure sensors everywhere as a way to gauge when a tornado is likely forming or has.

Perhaps you could triangulate pressure falls in a similar way seismometer detect earthquakes and triangulate location and magnitude.

But, this will require quite a bit of research to demarcate where boundaries are. How big of pressure drop is generally indicate of a tornado, or developing one. Perhaps relative to modeled pressure falls in the OpRap of the background environment?

  4. I need to get a degree to understand this stuff. I’ve tried. I live in MS and all I know is I’m between I-20 and I-10 so I’m worried. I need a channel that can break this down for a layperson.

  5. All schools in the Memphis area just announced they are dismissing between 10 :30am and 11/Noonish. Storms are supposed to start around 1pm and get bad around 3 and leave by 6! This was just announced within the last hour so everyone is out getting their kids. Was driving into town to pick up some work and was wondering why there were so many school buses at this hour. Even my church canceled on us. They say the bluff here stops the severity of storms but today people expect it to get real bad. We’ll see I guess

  6. Reed, we are in Orange Beach, AL close to FL line. Local weather folks say it will come about 2 AM. We are ON the beach. How common are tornadoes on coast? Or are they more inland? Thanks 😊
