Experts believe Beijing is attempting to achieve two major goals with this summit. First, it seeks to solidify its influence in the Global South. Africa, with its 54 countries, is a significant player, and China aims to become a leader in this region. Second, Beijing aims to bolster its slowing economy through this summit. Africa is a crucial market for Chinese goods, and with the West putting up trade barriers, China cannot afford to lose ground here. Despite the grand announcements, African leaders expressed disappointment. Xi’s $51 billion pledge pales in comparison to past commitments, and China offered no specifics on financing details or debt relief.   5. Palki, I reside in India and listen to your program regularly. However, increasingly I am noticing whenever covering America, the narrative shifts to a negative, condescending tone. The reason I chose this avenue for news was indeed for neutrality which is quite absent in US news channels. However, now I feel that neutrality is giving way to an anti American bias.

    In particular, this particular episode has 3 items about US and all three became lectures. Just wanted to point the bias out in case it has gone unnoticed, if by design, please carry on. In that case it will lead me to search again for more neutral mediums

  7. I didn't see any shadow. I only saw one clear and loud message in the joint declaration that says" we all recognize that Taiwan is a part of China and we oppose Taiwan independence but support whatever measures China takes to unify Taiwan.". 53 countries!

  21. India has been funding many Africa projects over the years, as debt and grants, despite not having deep pockets. Also, while China's funding has been for projects that China proposes at high interest rates. Also China executes the projects with its own material and labour whereas India uses local material and labour where available. China has been getting many countries into debt traps and squeezing them for high value military deals in the process, whereas there's no such military objective behind India's offers. There's no capacity building with China's deals whereas India builds Africa's capacity. Also China keeps many political leaders, in powee and in opposition, all over the world, not just from Africa, on their illegal payrolls. Africa unfortunately are not in a position to take such factors into account in accepting Chinese deals because they badly need to develop their infrastructure. Discerning prople know the truth.

I used to love this show , because for me you are reporting the truth, but when I saw your news about the Philippines and China ramming each others boat it was a deliberate act instigated by the corrupt government in the Phil😢ippines , paid by the obi-dens to start a proxy war againts China at the expense of all Pilipinos and their country , after our beloved President Duterte left his office the country was very peaceful and at the height of recovering from the poor governance of the then puppet of America Aquino government, he was against the team up of his daughter Sara with the now president BBM stating that that “ there’s someone running for presidency that is using cocaine” the daughter didn’t know about it , but the then President knows everything because he was the one who exposed politicians who uses drugs and protecting the drug lords, he was against corruption as well; so he ordered the oligarchs who were not paying their taxes to pay or he will have them arrested and many more good things that we pilipinos have experienced during his term, he gave back the land that the indigenous people were forced to evacuate by these oligarchs who grabbed their lands for their businesses, and sad to say when this present government won the election the true color was revealed, he ordered that the land be given back to the oligarchs and the poor has to live miserably again . Now, they, with their oligarch friends together with the leftist are using their heavy hands againts the man (Duterte) to punish him , the drug lords that are shown in photo with them (displaying it with no shame) together with the smugglers (who were seen with the now president and his wife ,she’s the one running the show anyways) are now putting a heavy hand againts the Dutertes and their friends and are occupying a religious establishment and are trying to demonize the pastor as well just because he is a good friend of the Dutertes (he is a friend way back when the then President Duterte was a prosecutor, he is a lawyer by profession )and he is a good man but they accused him of sooo many evil things , a propaganda that will destroy your soul even. Anyways ,this pastor has a program in his tv show SMNI criticizing how this new government is using the people’s money to buy voters this early to change the form of government so they could stay forever and his wife together with his cousin (the speaker of the House of Representatives ) Romualdez who wanted to become a prime minister were exposed in SMNI ,of course they didn’t like it and so the retribution started .Mind you it is only the SMNI who helped his candidacy when no other news outlet were there to help him because these news outlets were also against this family, remember the father who was called a dictator ? (The history is repeating itself but with a new twist )but now because money talks the silence in the entire news networks in the Philippines is deafening, and the only news network that speaks of the truth is being crucified, (The SMNI ) so no one can tell the truth of what’s happening now, Thank God for the Duterte bloggers and some other netizens who blogs about the truth ,the devil will never win! We’re tired of this new government who instead of helping the people in need because of flooding in Manila , they went to Davao (the place of the Duterte’s) and are vote buying already and in their propaganda they said it’s “AYUDA” meaning helping the people In need, but the people in Davao are not having floods, it’s in Manila, this flooding has never happened during the Duterte’s time, there are many things the world needs to know, the leftist are ruining America and it’s tentacles has reached the Philippines, it was always like that, they were the ones whose using this new government to do the same as how they are doing it with the Americans, and by the way when you featured this ramming of chinese vessels et al ,I checked the comments, Lo’ and behold! the commenters who faking thanking you and India , lol! are the paid bloggers of this admin (and his cousin )together with the npa terrorists groups that are now working as propagandists againts the children, friends, and supporters of the ex -president MAY THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AVENGE THE POOR AND THE NEEDY , FOR THE LORD SAID VENGEANCE IS MINE!   29. It’s good to be true just be careful! If you default of your debts what is the consequences, when you wake up someday China gov’t will be taking your country because you didn’t comprehend the fine print of your loan agreement. Read and understand the content of your disclosures when it comes to loans etc. Promises are made to be broken. Let no one take your beloved country, you should put all in the tables your condition before accepting any foreign debts, make sure both countries benefit always think, your people life is at stake so just be careful in my own opinion
