With legal cases mounting against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh may soon request her extradition from India. Bangladesh’s de-facto Foreign Minister, Mohammad Touhid Hossain, indicated on Thursday that if the home and law ministries decide to proceed, they might formally ask for her return. Hasina fled to India on August 5, following a violent uprising that claimed more than 400 lives. She now faces at least three cases in Bangladesh, including a murder charge. When asked about the possibility of extradition, India’s foreign ministry dismissed the question as “hypothetical.” On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma explores the options available to India.

  2. We follow British class room model education where there no focus building character of a child. We make children to focus on making money and nothing of character. Once they grow with no moral compass they do such atrocities which in this instance is raping a doctor. We should understand everything is not about GDP. Being cultured is not just photo optics and bringing laws will make people more devious but unfortunately necessary.

    Rarely to never in the Bible does God specifically tell you a test you may do of God. In fact Jesus told satan we ARE NOT TO PUT GOD TO FOOLISH TESTS!
    But here in Malachi GodHIMSELF TELLS US ONE AREA OF LIFE HE WELCOMES US TO “PROVE” HIS EXISTENCE AND POWER AND GOODNESS!!! Simply give the LORD 10% of all your increase and HE will prove HIMSELF YO YOU!!! You want to know who has the power colleges, idols, or the Christian God Almighty!!! I assure you it is ONLY the LORD!!! Consistently give to HIM and he will “PROVE” HIMSELF to you!!!

    But on the topic of college… please understand something… unless you are skilled at DOING SOMETHING FOR REAL!!! Then your degree is utterly worthless! Won’t buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks!

    Let me give you an example, a lady wanted to be an accountant but didn’t have the means to go to college. So this wise woman bought the college books on accounting and studied them herself until she actually KNEW HOW TO DO THE WORK! FOR REAL!!! In the real world!!! She went to a potential employer who was looking to higher a book keeper and explained what she had done. He ended up giving her the job because she “proved” to him that SHE could do the REAL work and understood it IN THE REAL WORLD! Not just paperwork getting good grades. Most colleges are totally out of touch with REAL WORLD hands on needs of businesses. One woman told me her job full time is trying to lure engineers AWAY from one company to another! Do they care what degree he has NOT IN THE LEAST!!! They care that he can produce! And because they can they can VIRTUALLY NAME THEIR PRICE!!! Businesses are saying WERE SORRY YOU SPENT SO MUCH GOING TO SCHOOL!!! That may be YOUR FOOLISHNESS!!! We are NOT paying for it! We are looking for someone who can DO SOMETHING!!! Profitable!!! If you are profitable THEY WILL GLADLY “PAY” YOU FOR IT!!! College in general really only seems to work when you are very very specific in your job target! Learn THAT FIRST!! What employer do you want to work for? Know THAT! First!! What education do they require? Stay in touch with them all through your schooling! If possible WORKING for them in some lower capacity. But basically what I’m saying YOU WANT TO BE A TEACHER, study exactly for that! Not basket weaving or whatever!

    No matter what anyone does fair or unfair give the Christian God His ten percent and study all the wisdom of His word and fast and pray to HIM ALONE!! And you will never have to worry about money! Don’t give to Him and read and obey His word, don’t fast or pray to Him and you will ALWAYS HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MONEY! Give to the LORD GENEROUSLY AND YOU WILL REAP GENEROUSLY YOUR CUP WILL OVERFLOW WITH BLESSINGS AND THEY WILL COME BACK TO YOU LIKE TOSSING THEM ON THE WATER SOON IT COMES BACK ON EVERY WAVE!!!

  15. Dr Yunus we love you but you need to show that you are in charge, either you do your job right or find someone who can do the job. Pls do follows:

    1. Become President
    2. Separate Admin, Judiciary and legislative. MPs should be able to cross floor.
    3. Every 18 year old should have mandatory 1 year Military reserve service for National defence
    4. Speedy trial for 15 years of crimes & Bring Hasina back to face charges.
    5. Ban Awami league like Nazi party of WW2, ban anyone had any relationship with them ever to run for any office or seats.
    6, Strict on Corruption
    7. Lifetime free treatment & aid to the July/Aug 2024 victims and families
    8. All officials must get medical treatment within country
    9. STOP all "SIR" calling everywhere – ppl should address Mr. with last name or with permission just first name
    10. GIVE WEEKLY STATUS UPDATE TO THE NATION (What did you do, what is next, what you couldn't do and why, who are the obstacle)
    11. Increase number of advisers
    12. Remove all the ppl standing when advisers are talking, go around the room and ask Journalist for questions.
    13. Constant communication with West & East and well defend yourself against constant threats, RAW and Jaiprakash will not digest their loss so easily. India is our biggest neighbor but it should establish relationship with ppl of Bangladesh not with corrupt leaders who stole 3 elections that India blindly supported.

  16. India's dilemma: PM Sheikh Hasina is a democratically-elected leader of a sovereign country. She was ousted by a US-supported unelected opposition group who may want PM Hasina extradited back to Bangladesh for political trial. Would India allow continued US intervention in Bangladesh?
