Fun Fact: The hook of 'Stained' sounds 100% like the Main melody of 'God is with us' by Disciple.
That new evanescence album was amazing. Wayyyyy better than original linkin park. Chester couldn’t hold a candle to this new linkin park.
i was here hehe
NO WAY BRO FUCKING MENTIONED BILLY TALENT?! I had no idea you listen(ed) to them. Most underrated rock band of all time. You really should talk about them a bit given your viewer reach. They need more mainstream love especially in the States.
Honestly, Nik is lookin pretty sharp with the new hair and the collar.
“Casualty” surprised the hell out of me. I love it. They should explore Linkin Punk more often 😂🤘🏾
I think its a solid album but really have to be analysed from a new phase perspective, because any comparison with Chester its going to be unffair as that guy emotion and voice was something out of this world. RIP Chester ❤
Wildly mediocre record.
Only problem I have with this albums is it’s so short. Al the songs are 2;45 3;00 ish. Because of this the album is only 30ish minutes i would love more something like 45 60 minutes.
Why is no one talking about how hard Mike's rapping goes in this album?
I remember when this guy just talked shit about nu metal. All these you tubers have been worshipping Fred durst the past few years, its awesome.
Lookin like a extra on a Chris angle set 😂
You know you guys can say it’s trash right? The nu metal cops aren’t gonna come take you to jail. Everyone is forcing this so hard. Architects all over avain
Damn it just sucks for me cause the songs I love, however, I am just now looking into Scientology and the Danny stuff. Idk how I feel about her now… moral wise
as much as i enjoyed the album I look forward to the version with the AI chester.
Hey Nik, I don't know if you have heard of this band at all but I think you should check out Future Palace. Such a good band that I've found in recent years.
its not a great album at all, compared to early LP. but its ok
I think my top 3 songs on the album personally are the emptiness mschine, IGYEIH and good things go, fantastic album, a great year ender type album
I feel like they released all the decent songs as singles and then the rest of the album is literally dog water
Honestly this might be Nik's look.
I couldn't agree more on how you said "Good Things Go" is invoking emotions 🎉
It’s so weird when people say they were too safe. All they have done up to this point is make unsafe decisions by being experimental. They hit the reset button after meteora aka the greatest rock album ever maybe. So here they are with a different kind of reset and they are basically starting from scratch with a reintroduction.
Album is trash. The emptiness machine and heavy is the crown is maximum buttrock
What did 'A Thousand Suns' do to you? AT LEAST MENTION IT ONCE T_T
I really don't understand how anyone likes the singles. They are 100% buttrock trash
Casualty reminds me of Keys to the Kingdom!
Very talented band and im happy everyone likes it. I think it has a few good songs but I personally believe its mostly dog shit.
I hate to say it. I think this album is absolutely terrible. I think they played it safe and tried to make Emily's voice fit into the album – but mikes rapping is god awful. cranking the autotune to 11 isn't talent, its misleading.
I bought the album today
Self copying went crazy on this album. 2/5
Pretty mid, but expected nothing more than that. They’re tryna be the new imagine dragons
Emily has been giving me Billy Takent vibes since day 1
I'm so glad the album turned out good. I'd say it's better than Living Things and One More Light, on par with The Hunting Party.
My ranking of tracks:
1. Two Faced
2. The emptiness machine
3. Good Things Go
4. Cut the Bridge
5. Stained
6. IGYEIH
7. Over Each Other
8. Heavy is the Crown
9. Casualty
10. Overflow
Also I hope they make another remix record someday. Feels like some of those song could go hard in a remix
Solid album with some hard bangers and some I wasn’t into glad they are making music again.
Nu look works fr
Stained was a banger wtf you on about
When you say it satisfies the itch, wouldn't you say it was a CURE for the itch? LOll pun intended if you get the joke
I don't want my words to be misconstrued, I'm just like everyone else that loves LP, and I always will. And I have nothing against Emily, she's good, and the album is solid, it's nothing outlandish or boundary pushing, but it's good. I just think me personally, I put my grief and sadness to rest years ago, kind of accepted that we'd never get music from them again, and I haven't fully accepted that they're back now, if that makes any sense.
I think I need more time before I'm fully back in, give Emily time to fully integrate herself, like it still feels like she's subbing in for Chester in a way. Again, I will clarify, I enjoyed the album on my first listen, I just don't think I'm emotionally ready.
The singles were the best written songs. Collin's pop sensibilities made for a one trick pony album. The first chorus stripped to it's bare bones and then built up almost every time. Singles were 10s, rest of the songs were filler
Interesting that you found two-Faced to be the most Hybrid Theory/Meteors sounding song…to me that is clearly Heavy is the Crown. I think Two-faced is heavier than the "classic" LP material.
Overall the album is quite diverse and imho reflects nearly any period and style of LP so far. Despite the extremely electronic/radio-pop stuff, which I absolutely don't miss at all.
Rape apologist woot
Straight trash bro. Butt rock ftw.
Ass beater lol wut
