  1. NO WAY BRO FUCKING MENTIONED BILLY TALENT?! I had no idea you listen(ed) to them. Most underrated rock band of all time. You really should talk about them a bit given your viewer reach. They need more mainstream love especially in the States.

  2. I think its a solid album but really have to be analysed from a new phase perspective, because any comparison with Chester its going to be unffair as that guy emotion and voice was something out of this world. RIP Chester ❤

  3. It’s so weird when people say they were too safe. All they have done up to this point is make unsafe decisions by being experimental. They hit the reset button after meteora aka the greatest rock album ever maybe. So here they are with a different kind of reset and they are basically starting from scratch with a reintroduction.

  4. I hate to say it. I think this album is absolutely terrible. I think they played it safe and tried to make Emily's voice fit into the album – but mikes rapping is god awful. cranking the autotune to 11 isn't talent, its misleading.

  5. I'm so glad the album turned out good. I'd say it's better than Living Things and One More Light, on par with The Hunting Party.

    My ranking of tracks:
    1. Two Faced
    2. The emptiness machine
    3. Good Things Go
    4. Cut the Bridge
    5. Stained
    6. IGYEIH
    7. Over Each Other
    8. Heavy is the Crown
    9. Casualty
    10. Overflow

Also I hope they make another remix record someday. Feels like some of those song could go hard in a remix

  6. I don't want my words to be misconstrued, I'm just like everyone else that loves LP, and I always will. And I have nothing against Emily, she's good, and the album is solid, it's nothing outlandish or boundary pushing, but it's good. I just think me personally, I put my grief and sadness to rest years ago, kind of accepted that we'd never get music from them again, and I haven't fully accepted that they're back now, if that makes any sense.

I think I need more time before I'm fully back in, give Emily time to fully integrate herself, like it still feels like she's subbing in for Chester in a way. Again, I will clarify, I enjoyed the album on my first listen, I just don't think I'm emotionally ready.

  7. The singles were the best written songs. Collin's pop sensibilities made for a one trick pony album. The first chorus stripped to it's bare bones and then built up almost every time. Singles were 10s, rest of the songs were filler

  8. Interesting that you found two-Faced to be the most Hybrid Theory/Meteors sounding song…to me that is clearly Heavy is the Crown. I think Two-faced is heavier than the "classic" LP material.

Overall the album is quite diverse and imho reflects nearly any period and style of LP so far. Despite the extremely electronic/radio-pop stuff, which I absolutely don't miss at all.
