  1. this may be the weapon to get me to stop using Splat Dualies, not gonna lie. i am a boomer shooter addict and having all this mobility is something i will never be able to live without. don't get me wrong, i'll still try to get that 5 star splat dualies, but having weapon options is a good thing to have, lets you be flexible

  2. Another thing to mention is the Tetras kill time in ratio to its range, you can escape most zipcaster weapons even if they have good kill times but not much range, or good range but with difficulty to kill due to having to small margin for error (if they’re trying to kill something with zip) Tetras paint and relatively fast kill time along with its range allows it to kill more reliably because of the tetra has you in its range, you might die right there. It’s reliability is eased by how it’s also an automatic weapon, the other zip weapons not having that quality means that each shit counts a lot more than Tetras would have to count on not missing a few stray shots.

  4. I was thinking you could zip behind them and squid roll backwards and then dodge roll to close distance.

    Abilities I’m thinking of
    -QR
    -Ink saver main
    -Special saver
    -Stealth Jump

  5. I think the use of the Sprinkler as a distraction tool is rather undervalued. When using the RG I'll often chuck one out near a foe to divert their attention, even for a second, so I can get some shots in or swim away to avoid a splat. On a multi-rolling weapon like Tetras that distraction can be very useful, though you'd need to be very mindful of your tank. With Zipcaster though that distraction tool opens a hilarious possibility of throwing out a sprinkler towards an opponent who isn't aware of you yet, popping Zip and then blitzing them while they're distracted. Then you go and do other Zip Tetra things while the splatted opponent wonders "WTF just happened!?", then you get recalled with a full ink tank and can go in a different direction covering more map. Obviously the higher in rank you go the less useful it becomes and if you spam the strat foes will learn it, but it can be something to whip out every once in a while to keep foes guessing and snag key splats on otherwise dangerous opponents by playing to that "ooo shiny" part of the brain and giving them a target just before making them the target.

  6. There is but one synergy you missed: roll lag canceling. All dyalies are capable of throwing bombs, clams, and (in sr) golden eggs while in turret mode. Bombs are the ticket though, as it uses the R button the same way zipcaster does. Unless its changed in the season patch, zip tetras can use all their rolls and still negate the vulnerability of the rolling lag by simply zipping to something, which serves the dual purpose of refreshing their rolls too.

I don't see anyone talking about this tech and if it really does work as I understand it to zip will be even stronger for the weapon— it will never stop moving for the duration of the special.

  7. All the Dualie fans out there are going to absolutely love this new kit, Zipcaster works absolutely perfectly with Tetras and would make the already very fun special even more fun than before!

  8. Only recently learned sprinklers break when you die, that makes it REALLY bad on tetra… can be used as a pretty good way of diverting people's attention here in causal play though. Zip is gonna be so much fun

  9. "i don't think there's a single weapon that's looking at sprinkler and going 'ooh sprinkler very exciting'" wrong! i am excited for S-Blast and i think sprinkler to help with the bad paint of most blasters will be helpful.

(dumbass georg, who has all of the controversial opinions about low-tier weapons, isn't even in S+ and should not be counted)
