Life SAVER Helps Me GROW Lots of Garden Vegetables. Fruit, Plants & Seeds Container Gardening w/TULLE
source
I always lost my veggies to rats or other critters until I discovered your channel a couple of months ago. Now I can eat my veggies and share them with the neighbors. Tulle, tulle, tulle, I've recommended your channel and tulle on several other YT channels. I now call you Queen Robbie, our Queen of Tulle!! Long live our Queen!! Much love to you and of course your little court jester, Kitty!
Hi π How you removed the smell from the Vegetable π₯¦ tea πyour daughter is totally right it smell so bad lol next time I need my gloves 𧀠But the plants and my veggies love it ( I have a lot of fruit and vegetables) thanks π
What is different from tulle to the shade cloth? Just wondering why they canβt climb over it also. Thanks
This is terrific advice! Thank you for all the hacks, my garden is a success, in large part, because of your teachings. You both are truly a Blessing. Your gardens feel happy & peaceful, & so full of life…πΏπ
How do you get rid of moles and voles, besides the raccoons. I would love to plant my garden this year, but need to get rid of the critters that eat the roots. I also have huge issues with grass hoppers.
Squirrels are why I don't grow food
I remember slips and still have a few….
Thank you for this video. Just ordered 80 yards of beige. Sorry robins & squirrels….(hahaha)
You are saying ground squirrels, are they chip monks? I have many of those and they have dug in and ruined plants. What about sprinkling cinnamon or hot pepper powder? I set traps on the porch and I caught 14 mice.
I've been spreading cayenne pepper around my plants and areas, like on my cushions, to keep out animals!
I tried tulle this year and I'm happy as a lamb! I've had animals eat all the seedlings every year. This year they are gorgeous. I tied the ends or got clothespins from dollar tree! Works great!
I have plenty of leftover tulle from making kitchen scrubbies so I didnβt have to buy any, glad I kept it cause it was going to Goodwill.
I just made my fir'st cardboard box raised bed…We'll see how it goes. Thanks for your infectious gardening videos. You really make me excited about trying to follow your ideas and instruction.
Have you ever had any problems with ants where you put food scraps?
I love tulle too! I covered my pepper plants with tulle because the birds were eating all my peppers. It worked, and they left my peppers alone. However, I did get a lot of white fly and spider mites on my plants. So I still love tulle, but i have to be very vigilant about checking for white flies, spider mites and scale!
All weekend as I was working in my front yard, planting veggies, making holes in totes, creating solar fountains, making compost tea, putting up my peach colored tulle, I could hear Robbie's voice in my head saying "use whatcha got…compost in place…use clothes pins to hold up your tulle…this looks fanTASTIC…" Robbie, you motivate me and encourage me more than anyone else I've ever watched on YouTube! I'm actually growing things now and I've planted things I've never planted before, thanks to you and Gary. When I tried to grow things years ago, I didn't succeed, maybe because my heart wasn't in it, but now it's different. I'm so excited and so thrilled with what I've done, all because I found you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
I bought 4 bolts of tulle a couple months ago after seeing one of your videos. I gave one bolt to my daughter for their blueberries and her container gardens (I'm sooo proud of my Darling Daughter, Once again following in her Mama's footprints). I am already using my tulle in my container gardens, and it works!!
Now I'm texting this little video of yours over to my daughter, for her to also watch. Many thanks Robbie. I have container gardened for 30 years. Following your instructions, I am slowly getting my container raised up so I can better get to/reach everything. I have MAJOR Spine issues.
Dollar Tree has tulle but it's about 6" wide, not sure of the length, maybe 5 yards. I'm going to drape some over seedlings since I think mice are nibbling on them. Right now I have been using containers with lids but if they aren't secure, I find bites taken out of tiny plants I've been working hard to sprout, so sad.
Critter have sure been real hungry for the past few years!!
Critters in Alabama just take the tulle offπ±π±
I watched you, 2 years ago talking about tule, works great. Bird netting can be hazardous to lizards and garden snakes that we want to keep.
Tule works!
Iβve used tulle to keep slugs and cabbage butterflies off, it works great
Robbie your garden is looking good, squirrels are not my favorite.
Tulle is the Best.
I give you thanks for all your advice on gardening. I've definitely learned allot from you. Love your suggestion on everything. God Bless You from Northeast Texas.
Just found you! I MIGHT be able to garden this way. I think the tulle might take care of the opossum, but then the poor garden will have to contend w/me. I didn't inherit my parents green thumbs. Bought a succulent a while back, &, well, the poor thing didn't live long enough for me to put it in the pot I bought for it. I'm 74, handicapped, I concerned about the fresh food shortages that are sure to come. I thought I'd start w/potatoes.
Is this the soft tulle that baby tutus are made out of, or the stiffer netting type that kitchen scrubbier are made out of? How does it hold up to desert heat? I live in Nevada, which can reach 120F in the summer.
That skunk is beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Iβm going to try the green netting as a precaution.
We live in southeast Colorado and we are INFESTED with grasshoppers π last year they stripped our plants to the bare stalkπ
You're brilliant! And economical brilliant and now I see what you mean about your buckets I'm going to get some colorful ones and use those they're space-saving for my sunroom instead of the tubs thank you thank you thank you I'll find your video
You're the bomb! You got it going on! You're fun creative very productive very educational and very kind! And now you've inspired me to want to eat what I grow
Love and blessings
To you and yours
and all the little critters and winged birds
Robbie
Thanks awesome video
You have TRULY HELPED HUNDREDS of us that live on a very low income be able to grow grow that can't afford or have the pace .. I just want to say thank you it's been life changing for me..
This is awesome as well! Thank so much for this as well. I probably gonna try this as we got similar issues with squirrels and possibly rabbits as well. Really likes how it attainable, affordable and will NOT harm the animals in any ways either. π
Thx ππΌ
I hope it works for alley cats !!!!
My HoAnnes has tulle for $1.29 a yard right now. ππΌ
Do you think if I do it just like you did and I want to bury it about 6in to keep the raccoons out do you think that will keep them out?
How would bees & other pollinators enter?
I have tons of mesh I used for wreaths do you think that will work also? I just found you and have learned so much! Thank you!!!
