Episode Notes:

1. Kai provided the game for review. I was not paid to review it.

2. This was captured from the Mega SG.

3. Easy will give you a partial ending. Normal and higher will give you an extra stage, boss, and the full ending – complete with full frontal nudity.

4. In some ways, I found the Contra mode to be the easiest way to play this. Especially after you know the stages well.

5. Kai believes that a digital ROM option devalues their work. They want the full fat physical experience with their titles.

  2. As cool as this would be to play, they severely limit their potential audience by releasing only for a 30 year old console which most current gamers don't have anymore. This should also be made available for current consoles which are all capable of playing old Genesis games…

  3. The music sound like coming from a Xenocrisis sequel. I know, same people, but thought that it would sound different. Like it a lot. Waiting for my copy to arrive.

  4. I pre-ordered it so it looks like I'll receive it soon.
I like Savaged Regime's tunes in this one even better than those from Xeno Crisis, which says a lot about the former!

  5. I was hoping the dev's would fix the terrible animation for the main character, sadly no. Poor lady looks constipated. The run cycle and melee attack are weak. Shame because every thig else loos great!

  6. Genesis is the only old-school platform I purchase after-market titles for. The last few years have been absolutely stacked with great titles. Enjoyed Life on Mars, a bit flawed game design and slightly inconsistent visuals, but well made for an indie Genesis title. My biggest complaint was how short of a game it was, tbh. I'll probably be getting LoE, too, though. Like the Rolling Thunder influence they have in there.
