Libby Was NEVER The Same Again After This…

Hey, so uh, this is my first time doing manual subtitles in a video. Let me know what you think about them down in the comments, please!

In my opinion, there isn’t very many characters in Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius that were able to shine quite as bright as Libby Folfax. There were other characters who were certainly capable of stealing the spotlight, but in comparison, none were nearly as BOLD and cool as Libby was.
Seeing her character change throughout the series was really interesting as a viewer. She started as an admittedly flat character in comparison to the character that she would become…
But what about her really changed? Why did it change?
Today, on our nostalgic walk down memory lane, we’re going to check out an episode that would answer those questions and a few more along the way.

Thank you for watching!

  1. I NEED FEEDBACK PRETTY PLS!!! <3
What do you guys think of the subtitles?

Did they make the video more enjoyable for you? Should I add them again in future videos or just let you guys turn on automatic YT subtitles if you want?

  2. While I appreciate this video and the amount of thought you put into it, I want to offer some constructive criticism.
That background music that played throughout the majority of the video was FAR too repetitive and actually took me out of what you were saying. I would recommend either finding a bigger library of music to choose from for long-form content like this or giving extended periods of time where the only noise was your voice.
Either way, I wish you well in your future endeavors.

  3. Man, I just noticed that both Cindy and Libby made a switch on the styles! Cindy originally had pigtails and a pink shirt, which matched Libby ponytail and green dress. Then, Cindy went to style a green top and a ponytail, while Libby changed to braids and a pink t-shirt. They kept their iconic looks which clearly stablished them as best friends and reversed their color palettes to show how they started to grow.
The fact that the show ended so soon on season 3 is a shame though, considering that the people working on it mentioned that they wanted to make episodes for each member of the cast before a grand finale. This episode was just a taste of this, specially since they hinted at Sheen liking Libby.

Also, I don’t share your opinion on Cindy, I love her character too much and I don’t think is pointless, she’s just as hot headed as Jimmy and frustrated that he not only took her place as the smartest kid at school, but made fun of her for not being as smart, obviously she was always defensive with him and started to treat him poorly using his physique as a weapon, since that’s everything she really had. Their relationship evolving from jealously to admiration was fantastic and it makes sense for the ages of the characters, as they matured and understood that their bickering was nothing more than they wanting to be acknowledged by the other, which they eventually did. Jimmy understood that Cindy had more social abilities than him, and Cindy understood that his genius was unmatchable; and that both working together could make miracles happen.
Now her reaction to Libby in this episode, even when I was a child, I understood she was just being a smartass not out spiteful, but of tiredness of hearing her bestie saying the same thing every time. Cindy has shown to be supportive of Libby many times, she has given her the spotlight and consider her wins as her own, because they work as a pack. This episode doesn’t work as a standalone, it builds on what we’ve seen on previous episodes, so I think is misguided to just bash the character so badly.
Besides, as I said before, both girls are pretty young (12 I think) and you can give them more leeway on their insecurities considering that.

  4. Sheen: "Im related to the guy that invented Baseball!🤓☝🏽"

    Libby: "Whaat?!🤯"
    Carl: "WOW☺️"
    Cindy: "Really?!😃"

Sheen: "Im sorry, did I say baseball?, I meant spray on eyebrows😏"

    That boy Sheen is hilarious😭😭🤣🤣

  5. I think this is coming from a gay dude prospective but my best friend would definitely roll his eyes if I kept telling a repetitive story like that. JUST LIKE I DO WHEN HE KEEPS REMEMBERING MY UGLY ASS EX. Like honestly these two girls are literally just me and my bestie. Its not a bad thing, Im pretty sure it's just a sassy thing. The fact that we can be that way to each other and it doesn't hurt either of us says something

  6. I remember watching this show as a child, but I truly believe I never watched a single episode with Libby’s first hairstyle. Not to mention I remember seeing her on screen a lot as a child, I would’ve never thought she was, or used to be, not apart of the main cast. Maybe my poor child mind was coping hard with this show.
