  1. Would never buy another LG OLED , after being screen burn aware etc and adjusted the settings accordingly etc still happened 4 years after ownership. Done a swap between my 2 viewing rooms , just waiting for the 65 inch to do the same . Will be staying well clear of OLED .

  2. I want LG A1 to play some games, like my Summer car, GTA V etc

Good to hear your good point about burning, i still fear it a bit although. But i watched a video of a guy that used it for one year

    With 2.500 hours of use [something like almost 7 hours a day in a period of one year}

And nothing bad happened. In my opinion c2 is too premium, would be good they doing one more simply like A1 or even C1, because if I'm not mistake

This new panel is less likely to have burning, so would be good having this without paying too much more. Specially for places like my country, here things come more than double the price

8:42 they did it, i talked too soon 💀

  3. I'm worried about image retention with LG screens. I know lots of people say don't worry about it, but I have a MS Surface Book 2 with an LG LCD screen, it has image retention problems. I've had my laptop for 5 years and most of the time, it was hooked up to an external monitor. So the screen has lighter than normal use. Depending on what 'scenes' I'm switching between, the image retention can be terrible.

And OLED fair worse than LCD when it comes to image retention. Also, lots of threads about LG screen burn-ins and people switching to Samsung. LG has a 5 year warranty on burn ins, Samsung has 10 years.

From what I've experienced on my laptop and the facts I've stated above, I'd stay away from LG screens.

  4. These reviews are done by very casual reviewers. Kind of crazy you are getting paid for something I could create with 30 minutes of research. To bad you don’t have a TV expert, not just reading the settings and the generic specs.

  5. Yeah, the C1 is better, and it looks better in every comparison I have seen. Yes, a few "reviewers" like HDTVTest and Keep it Fatty Tech will lie and and try to make one look better than the other, but this is obvious. The C1 has better contrast, depth, gradation, sharpness, motion, and overall detail. The C2 does have more shadow detail and color volume, but this does little to make the picture quality better. If anything, the brightness/gamma/chrominance overshoot makes the television look worse. Sorry, but it's true.

  6. G2 only lg worth getting this year otherwise get a C1 great deals on them at the moment.
If u got the dough get the Panasonic 77” LZ2000 released in July word on the vine is the sound it’s producing is pretty spectacular too when watching HDR content.

The QD-OLEDS wait for 2023 and the TVs from pana etc.
If your willing to take a chance on early 1st iteration of qd-oled then the Sony A95K is the way to go available to pre-order now in 55” but currently a max size at 65”. Till the larger and much smaller qd-oled panels are produced next year. Imagine the A90J but just way better with actual proper gaming support.

I’m torn between a 77” LG G2 or waiting for the 77” Panasonic TX-LZ2000B. For movies and HDR the pana will take it but gaming the G2 might just take it until we know more about the real LZ2000 gaming stats in reviews etc. But both TVs fully calibrated the LZ2000 will win plus out of the box Panasonic are always very accurate, where as with LG it can be a bit of a roll of the dice on out of the box calibration. Still good but not like Sony or Pana. Panasonic priding themselves on reliable out of the box calibration and experience.
If you’re thinking 8K it’s up-to you. But the bandwidth etc for streaming etc isn’t there yet. So save your money think 8K from end of 2024 mainly 2025 onwards! Especially UK make sure you got that super fast fibre internet for it when it comes.
And QD-OLED 8K is going ato be huge in 2years with great deals then if the tech takes off and does well, which it will.
If you already have a C1 or G1 or A80/90J or and high level decent oled that supports very good HDR and gaming. Then just hold out for the really good deals in the Jan 2024 sales. Also see where the QD-OLED tech goes and see what LG might have up their sleeve for 2023/24😉 because LG won’t be resting on their laurels and letting Samsung get to far ahead producing and selling QD-OLED panels to its rivals.
So could LG come up with something even better and more revolutionary to replace WOLED and challenge QD-OLED. We’ll have to see.
Also a massive mention, the new blue pigment currently being created and worked into production uses snd methods which will massively improve future panels has got to be taken into consideration. And If you managed to read all of that you must be as high as I am right now.
    Nice one.😁

  7. Burn in is real and happens more than LG or anyone else wants to admit. I had the screen replaced under warranty with 13 months of use in my home and a year later same thing again. Some channels like Netficks run a logo in the background that you don’t see until it’s to late. For what they cost they should have fixed the problem by now. Just say no to OLED then maybe something will get fixed.

  8. I bought the C9, then the CX, then the C1, and now the C2! Every year I throw the old one year tv in the garbage to make way for the amazing improvements of the newer models….. had to sell one of my kidneys, but who needs 2 kidneys anyway. Now I way less and have a brand new C2. Not sure what I'm gonna do next year, can you sell one of your eyes, do we really need two eyes anyway?

  9. I'm looking to upgrade to an oled from a 2011 Samsung Plasma 51".

But, all sales guys all say don't expect any improvement in picture quality when watching TV. Guess I'll wait till Plasma conks out!

  10. I just purchased the 83" model. I cant wait for it to be installed later this week. It is a replacing a 75" Samsung that crapped out after only 6 years. Very disappointed in Samsung and have been told many good things about this LG so fingers crossed!

  11. Good review of the C2. However in my opinion the C1 still beats it in several areas such as build quality. From a side view the C1 is thinner and feels more premium and high quality compared to the C2 which feels more plastic and cheaper. I also do not care for the stand. Looks like LG took that idea from Samsung but at least they dont have the dreadful "feet". The PQ is not much of an upgrade from the C1 to justify replacing my C1 with it.
