3:30 IIRC in the novel they explain that red dragons cant jumpstart to fly so they have to jump of mountains or run down a slope to be able to get into the air. If a red dragon somehow gets grounded where it doesnt have a jump off point they become stray dragons and go on mental rampages attacking everything they can find but they also slowly starve to death because they cant get enough food so it was weaker then a normal dragon

You have to give mad props for the red dragon fight scene, not only did it look great but I’m glad the dragon actually moved like a dangerous creature, a lot of times in fight scenes they just do really werid movements. For example when He jumped on the dragon the dragon took a second to realize and started moving to get him off its back. Other animes would have him do 6 summer salts, a 2 mile run, with a 360 no scope jump off the tail and the dragon wouldn’t move an inch until they MC would get off and attack. Plus the dragon attacks felt rapid, quick. Not just still one sided swings or flame breaths. That thing was a menace
