destiny is my top fav game since 2014 i have way too much time spend in the tower. It was fun chasing all the exotics hoping for a Gjallarhorn or icbreaker and all the others. In destiny 1 it was fun to play 120 strikes a day for hoping an exotic drop. why should i play strikes in destiny 2 Anyways? i dont care about fear of missing out and thats whats destroying the game in my opinion. I only play GM because its the only thing challenging and fun…but where is the fun. its hard to let go my favourite game but its trash now but it was my Destiny before
Not getting final shape tell it’s on sell xD
I played from destiny 1 until the warmind expansion in d2.
Quit for a while after that as I had other stuff to do in life. Decided to get back into destiny abut 2 years ago now, only to find the stuff i paid for gone.
I love the world of destiny, but I had to spend tens of hours just watching videos just to understand what was going on.
This turned me off for quite a while, but over a few months I slowly caught up with the story and got back into the game, only to be greeted with the mess of a game it currently is.
I truly want to like the game bevause of the lore and the world along with satisfying gunplay, but its like they're actively trying to turn people away.
The reason people kick others out for not knowing what they're doing, is because the activities Bungie designs are so tedious and nobody wants to play them in the first place, except for MAYBE their very first time.
I'm so glad you called out their excuse of "everything is too expensive" and how they lied about Activision holding them back.
I have all the dlcs besides light fall. Been trying to get my friends back into it but like the guy said the dlc is needed unless you’re okay with a demo. That price is steep to catch up
While I understand why they kept deatiny 2 going, I feel like a lot of the issues could be fixed with destiny 3.
Throuwing people directly into the newest expansion and seasonal content is a great way to keep new players away.
Tried go get a few friends to play, and they had no idea what was going on until I spent a while explaining everything.
One thing I would LOVE is more of the exploration aspect. I know this isn't what Destiny is. But I remember playing the D2 beta and seeing cool looking areas and trying to get to them but I would reach map limits. The world feels too small and I woud love more secrets in the game, LORE could be told in this way. Worlds would have to be bigger but right now the Destiny world we explore reminds me of Ubisoft games. HUGE but ultimately empty. I thought lost sectors originally would be harder to find and give more of this mystery, but they didn't.
They need to bring back the red war, and oh forsaken story bc that’s the main part of the game
Lightfall was the nail in the coffin for me. It was so obviously a low-budget cash grab with basically 10% new assets. It was just miserable and inconsequential– the grind was futile.
Cant blame the game ..the US society isnt about friendship and connection…
if 50 hrs is enough to put a game in an understandable perspective, it's a retarded ass game.
one thing I learned from this video: LUCKYY10P needs to touch some grass and spend time with his child
The glaive builds got nerfed for a very good reason, at least winterbite. Doing that much dps without using any ammo is utterly broken and im glad its no longer a thing although the other glaives shouldnt have been hit
Well said. I appreciate your view and opinions on this game. You provided a honest perspective that I feel many core players feel. You have more time and depth into this game than 99% of the players, and I have been playing since beta and thousands of hours, but never to the depth as you have
Destiny is a life sucking game, and I feel in some ways that is a plus and minus. I find myself exploring little caves, nooks, out of the way places in hopes of finding a secret or something exciting just waiting to be found, but nothing. Those little things I feel destiny is missing. You said it perfectly, the destiny world is small and guided by the devs, not the story or players. Exploring, finding little trinkets for your efforts and finding something alive in this amazing world they created would be a life blood change for destiny and make the player feel more immersed into the game…
In almost 10 years, when I turn on my console, it’s been only Destiny as I always feel I have too much time, money, and energy invested to stop, but at the same time, I always feel a bit short changed in the end…sigh, a life choice, a time choice I make, but only in the hopes every time, that something will be different, new, and worth my investment…
Love + hate= Destiny
I’ve been playing since day 1 and thousands of hours but after the first couple years of D2 I really for the first time hated the gameplay loop and I really only enjoy the story and lore of the game at this point and that just seems to not be enough to stay playing. I stay up to date on all of it but find it’s lost that feeling it once had.
Trust me, after seeing and not buying the garbage that is Lightfall it was easy and refreshing to uninstall Destiny 2 yesterday. It is never too late to quit playing a dead game.
Genuinely feel like D2 is suffering because of the move of staff to Marathon…which guaranteed barely anyone will be interested in or play.
Elder scroll online is a good game for destiny 2 look up to..Story’s and dlcs are always good..Massive mmo..And has a good player base to help people out with what ever..Yes it’s grindy but it’s enjoyable to the point u forget about the grind and don’t really care about it u just enjoy it..I literally have all expansions on destiny and for the last 3months haven’t even bothered to turn it on because it’s the same bs
There are a lot of games that do it better than destiny
Real talk they need to fix up because I’m not really that interested in it anymore after playing it for 3 years
The dedicated D2 players are the problem. They complain their asses of but continue to put thousands of hours into the game whilst saying its trash. Bungie will keep doing what they do as long as people are keep playing regardless of how bad it gets.
We need NPC's in-game that can give us the lore. It could be a natural part of the world like the vendors. They need to hire a guy like Byf to just be there to tell us about the world. Maybe in a space club/bar or a library
Hearing the dejection from you and jake who are some of the most upbeat people in D2 is honestly a gut punch and eye opening.
Been playing since D1 Beta. Been a fan of bungie since halo ce. I as it is now just can’t believe how much of a 180 bungie has become in my eyes. Never had I imagined I’d hate a company I used to love. It’s not destiny… it’s bungie it is the greedy so blantantly greedy company horrible gaming practices. I’d been waiting for tears of the kingdom and just finally beat it after 200 hours. That is a game, destiny isn’t a game it’s a cash sinkhole a time waster. Do not play destiny do not support bungie.
I will say I enjoy the story of destiny when it’s there. But I cannot stand bungie I am tired of them existing. They should have been bought by EA so they’d been shut down.
Fishing is just relaxing when you just want to kick back and chill
I see videos like this and just think what do people want? Humans are creatures of routine and believe it or not they are have something somewhat predictable than a completely new experience
You have people who religiously buy in NBA2k or Madden and honestly sport games IMO are WAY more egregious than D2 ever could be. The gun model point was funny to see tho.
All in all I just see this as someone who has realized they don’t like something after being addicted to it for years! I personally took a two year(about 1&½ )break from D2 right after the season of Saint-14 and I personally love D2 more now than I ever have. I guess my point is that it’s easier to stop playing something you find a chore or boring than you might think
What’s your opinion azy, on Tears of the Kingdom. Being an avid Destiny Supporter, dabbling your toes in ToTK. Stepping into an actual game then going back to destiny. The game design gameplay mechanics the fun you had with it how does it compare?
What he said about "messing up is just keeping players who didnt even want to do the activity inside the activity when all they wanted was quick loot" is soooooo accurate.
"How to realize a company has conditioned your win/lose fallacy into a monitized addiction." Thats destiny…. they marketed a story without telling a story, removed content, and charged full price for remixes of strikes four times now. Enough is enough. Let. It. Die.
IMO destiny players are just a tad dramatic, I get that we shouldn’t settle and should always want the game to be better, but like, have you ever played any other mmo literally ever? These are completely normal problems for that type of game
It is so frustrating finally convincing a friend to play the game with you and then finding out he can't do shit without paying at least 50 bucks. Bungie can't gain new players if they don't offer them something convincing. 😕
He's wrong about Bungie getting $3B from Sony.
Bungies previous OWNERS did…. NOW THEY RICH BITCH!
So basically what Im getting is that if Marathon is a hit Destiny will hurt more. So…I guess Im not playing Marathon
