Game Description:

Venture below the streets of London, and you will find the medieval kingdom of rats, mice, moles, squirrels, and shrews known as Rodentia.

If the rodents have a cardinal law, it is this: never attack a god. But Verm never had much respect for the rule of law. His tail was stolen by the Yellow God of Death, and now the mouse will have to fight all manner of beasts and titans on his quest to get it back.

Features:

Team up with a colorful cast of misfit rodents.
Encounter awe-inspiring titans. Clash with a swashbuckling water vole, a pious lab rabbit, a poetry-spewing kraken, and many more.
Meet the hideous vermin who run society, then overthrow them.
Brandish your tiny weapons in strategic, turn-based combat.
There is no grinding. Small Saga is a tightly-focused and boss-oriented adventure.

  1. So, for those unaware, grey squirrels were introduced to the UK in 1876, brought over from North America.
It's now illegal to release grey squirrels in England, due to the ecological damage, especially to the habitats of red squirrels, and various trees.

They are listed in the IUCN international list of 100 worst invasive non-native species.

  2. 20:44 – given in this context ‘divine help’ means humans, not only is it more reasonable, that precisely what happened in real life; humans brought American grey squirrels over to Britain and they drove the native red squirrel population to near extinction.

  3. UK references: Bruce's tribal grudge is based on the real life destruction and deposing of the beautiful Eurasian red squirrel in the British Isles by the North American grey squirrel. For many years the only red squirrels were safe (in exile, as it were) on the Isle of Wight. Recent years have seen it reintroduced, however, and the red squirrel population of Scotland has now stabilised thanks to increased numbers of pine martens which prefer grey squirrel to red as a snack. 38:10 Like all the best people, Gwen is Welsh (its a Welsh name, after all. In fact all of our main characters have traditional names from their nationality. Siobhan is Irish, Bruce is Scottish). The symbol of Wales is the red dragon which features on its flag. Shes also a bad bitch. Hence, dragon. 39:55 before we get to Welsh, a reminder that the "LL" sound is a sort of…uh, well I think of it as saying the word "thla" with extra tongue. So Llanelli becomes "thlanethli". Also plz note I do not claim to be a Welsh teacher and will be using google translate when I have to. 39:58 it means "Hall-of-the-white-gods". 41:13 uhhh it means little dog, but might also mean shit" 41:47 according to wikipedia, a pwca "is a creature of Celtic, English, and Channel Islands folklore", TMYK.
49:43 ok not technically UK but the gun flute thing is a reference to FF8's dumb-but-cool gunblade. 50:37 Cachgi means coward, sneak, shit.
