While I *love* CRPGs, I never got around to playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker. That changes now! I’m strongly attempting to avoid spoilers, so that might mean some non-optimized character choices — but that can be fun too! NOTE: These episodes were mostly recorded 2-3 weeks before posting.

New to the channel? I do Let’s Play videos — these are like walkthrough guides of gameplay with continuous English commentary trying to explain my decisions and what strategy I use. If you’re looking for hacks or cheats, you’re in the wrong place!

Yooo I’m first love the vid can you pin this?
First! i can't believe i was thinking of this playthrough and then this video appeared as "24 seconds ago" after i refreshing my sub box.
This has fast become part of my morning routine 🙂
Those sign posts on the region map in the throne room are locations where the settlement could locate — click on one. And, yes, this is another poor UI design.
Just for general information. The Bastard Sword Weapon Focus works for Amiri's ginormous sword.
precise shot is still valuable to grab. there are enemies in this game that do have high touch AC.
the better critical range is actually really strong in pathfinder. there's a lot of trigger on crit effects and crits multiply more of your damage than in 3.5e. scimitar is definately the best martial weapon for reggie. the crit statistics are generally much more important than the damage dice
reggie's romance is actually pretty cute. can recommend
First bag of holding were a small bag of holding thats why it were cheaper, this one reduces weight by 200lbs
I couldn't quite tell from the video, but when you were looking to build an outpost in the Outskirts, did you click on the little brown signposts to do so? You can only build settlements in specific places in a region and that's how they're marked on your kingdom map.
I think a big part of the draw with kingdom management is to make you really appreciate the freedom of being able to just get away and do some adventuring.
The only thing the game needed was a multiplayer mode with custom maps and gm support. Like Neverwinter Nights
Oooh will Quill go for the Nymphussy? I mean the offer does sound sketchy af though
For the passage of time in the capital, the time spent on the kingdom management menu will refresh spells, but not heal hit points or things like death's door. Those require actually resting.
Trolls (who are already pretty resilient) have become even mkre resilient and are starting to invade.
Quill: "Lets go exploring!!"
Me: grabs the popcorn as the powder keg keeps filling up.
Love your videos, great to see it from a fresh perspective. Keep it up!
To build another settlement you have to click on the little banners on the map to choose a placer, i recommend a place near the River and close to your capital
Crisis points show up so rarely, so i'm personally scared of using them for non-emergencies. Opportunities are nice, but not required to pass.
For the most part, I've really enjoyed this Let's Play. But man, I wish you take your time to absord what you read. Cos you're just reading and not understanding simple things here, and it's getting painful to watch.
At this rate you are going to fail this campaign cos u screwed up kingdom management. The safety belt from Act 1 is off now. Every hour counts and you're taking time jumps, allocating resources and wasting crisis tokens without any thought. Random clicks in Kingdim Management dooms your kingdom.
You probably should do kingdommanagement when there isn't any crisis pending (like the trolls). BTW: try to do the tiefling's quest asap, it unlocks new (and pretty strong) party member.
Noo, im up to date!! When will the next vid be posted??
Really enjoying the playthrough and I hope you play Wrath of the Righteous someday too since you seem to be enjoying this one. On a side note, I have played through this game multiple times and I never even knew it had a turn based mode. I'm playing through it again now using that for all the big fights and it's like a completely different game. So thanks for that, Quill!
