  1. I think the reason Ranni was mad at you, is because she said she wanted to walk this path alone (and you followed her), and caught her as a tiny doll, which is a bit embarassing for her I imagine. 😛 And when she says 'you must slay the baleful shadow that walks these lands', she means Nokstella/the Lake of Rot by 'these lands', basically. I looked a tiny bit of this up, and basically you walked past the point where this 'shadow' would have spawned in before, so now you need to go retrace your steps and find it now that the quest has spawned it in. 😛

  2. Running through the area to get all the items works pretty well for you…until enemies start being the ones that carry the unique loot around, anyway. Like that bear in the Deeproot cave that you stole from and ran away, when I'm pretty sure that bear drops a unique talisman. Or a chance to drop it, anyway. XD

  3. And heck, the prince of death looks uglyyyyyy. I wonder what kinda wretched life they even still have, bound to the tree like that? Carian Study Hall was super cool to see inverted though! I really like how they designed that place. ^w^
(And heck, they basically made the godskin nobles the lizard people of conspiracy theorists – rich and powerful people wearing human skin over tails and inhuman biology. XD)

  4. I also just realised – the Prince of Death portal takes you to Leyndell. Would that bypass whatever thing blocks you from entering without two great Runes being collected first? If so, it would mean that the only Shardbearer that you have to defeat to enter would be Radahn, unless that requirement too can somehow be bypassed.

  5. The mimics you have been slashing treasure chests for are special variants of the metallic blobs you've been fighting in Nokron! Special for their ability to sometimes transform into other warriors to fight you as! Elden Ring doesn't have Mimic Chests, the only traps the chest in this game attacks you with deal with teleportation!!!
