Without either frontiers or barricades, from the music hall to the opera house and with a contagious passion, Leonard Bernstein succeeded in ploughing a furrow far from clans, cliques and quarrels. Whether he be playing the Rhapsody in Blue on the piano, explaining orchestral instruments to a hall of children, recording Mahler’s symphonies with the Wiener Philharmoniker or composing one of the works most performed throughout the world, (West Side Story), Bernstein proved that music was his ideal and absolute means of expression.

Straordinaria ricostruzione di un mito senza tempo
Fabuloso!!
Ein genialer Musiker!
Absolutely the best conductor I’ve played with in my 40+ years career. It’s surreal to me that at the time I played under him he was my age now, 60. He was a conductor who simply loved music and loved making it with other human beings. He could sit with an orchestra and create, without all the pompous crap so many conductors think they’re great for. Lenny lives in the hearts of many, many musicians throughout the world.
I have never liked FLAMBOYANT CONDUCTING
