This is really such a cute set ^^
This is one of the better sets alongside the plane, but I cannot stand these sets. Can’t display them at all. Those minifigs are so nice though.
When I first saw this I felt like the wave lacked any kind of cohesive idea to build the theme around besides “it’s Sonic”. This set has a lot of different play features that feel like they’re carryovers from different themes. Like you said there’s both Minecraft and ninjago styling here so it’s a little strange. Maybe the other sets will have more of an idea, especially the ones with Sonic in them.

I love that they are giving us more sonic sets. and now we have a modern sonic and the classic sonic from last year. hopefully we get orbot, Silver, and Knuckles next year ( we probably wont but i would love the chaotix's detective house as a set)

I'm surprised to see flickies, especially a pink one (more along the lines of Prime than the pale blue one in Adventure, or the one in pigtails like 3D Blast) get some inclusion!
It has me hope for any other future flicky inclusions- perhaps a Ricky, since toy releases seem covered for the birds and rabbit.
I really hope the animals and figures aren’t too expensive once these sets get close to retirement so I can swipe them up… I’m not paying 65$ CAD for this

Honestly I'm just hoping these sets inspire people to make more custom figures for the characters.

Well, for what it is, the set is cutesy and a safe purchase for those who want to traverse the path of minimal purchases. I will get it but not over the workshop.
