ππ€π οΈ Join me as I transform the LEGO Technic Perseverance Rover into a fully programmable robotic marvel using MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor electronics. You can even remote controle with a second hub. This isnβt just a build; itβs a complete reimagining that blends the art of LEGO with the fascinating world of robotics. π
In this video, we delve into:
β The step-by-step process of building the LEGO Technic Perseverance set.
β Unique modifications, including replacing the original internals with MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor electronics.
β The challenges faced and the solutions we found to ensure a perfect fit for the new components.
β An in-depth look at how we programmed the rover for remote control, focusing on the calculation of wheel angles and the turn radius for realistic movements.
β The educational insights we gained about the real Mars Perseverance Rover through this project.
β Remote controlling the perseverance with in-place turns and wide curves.

Well done !
Great project! But how do you turn the front and rear wheels asymmetrically? Or it just a backlash?
very cool!!!π
Great job! How big is your backdrop?
That build/modification is spectacular. Is there a specific reason why you chose the Inventor brain, and motors? Could it be done with a Spike Prime kit and expansion pack?
