About JamesandKarla:

Hey everyone! We are husband-and-wife architectural/interior photographers based in NYC. We started our video channel to act an artistic intervention to help raise awareness of the importance of small independently-owned businesses and the unique character these shops add to the streets and neighborhoods of New York City.

In our videos we will showcase portraits of storefronts and shop owners in New York City & beyond and capture moments of city life that capture the spirit, energy and cultural diversity of individual neighborhoods. We also bring our dog, Hudson along whenever we can.

  1. Thank you for another epic live stream of the Home Alone Lego set. Our heroes start out with James reads off the chat names while Karla recaps the events of the last two live streams while she prepares for the build. James talks to the chat about the weather, custom Christmas cards, the Batman Forever soundtrack, interviews on mini casssets with Tream, Bruce Springsteen buying Jens at "Trash and Vodville" plus the Police and their "Message in a bottle" double 45 lp, which was a gift from George Lopez. Karla finished bag 13 and went down stairs to get the mail while James brings out a Distillers CD. Karla came back with a package from Alan Levi which had an autograph  Debbie Harry book "Face it", which came from the official fan club. James then showed the uk single lp of Debbie Harry's "in love with love" and talked about the drop in weather. He then talked about how he and Karla got into arcutectural photography by documenting graffiti based on its letter base artform and found their passion for Mom and Pop shops, which gain momentum with those who became interested in their documentation of their subjects. They continue with a Home Alone trival question for the chat, James talked about the movie "Misses Doubfire" , Amy Winehouse and her album "Back in Black", the Japanese Maddona import and the cool mug that changes color when heated. Karla finished bag 15 and is about to do bag 16 and talked about supporting "Village Works" which is having a hard time by buying their sigh book through them. James checked on Hudson then talked about lounge music and  brought out Air's "Moon Safari" album, Cream Collect "Balearic" CD and a Blue Monday album. They then talked about "Ray's Candy" store 90th birthday and their pictures being presented on the Drew Barrymore show which they received credit. They then talked about the Star Wars, the hate some fans had for Jar Jar Binks and camera equipment. James then told a stories about working at a paper factory when he was younger while Karla looks for a Lego piece that she needed for the build which she found with the extra Lego pieces she had from other builds. Karla finished the second floor and goes on to do bag 17. James then pulls out the "Zootopia" album by U2 and they talked about their influence. They continue for a while longer with Home Alone trival, more camera talk stories and film facts untill Karla decided to end for the night. Sje them played with Hudson a little bit and ended the live stream.
