  1. With the loss of David Lynch, the creative world is a darker, dingier place (and not in a good, Uncanny way 🥺). *

    * Special Note to DW News: Seriously, 'vet' your Guests a little better: It's 'Who KILLED Laura Palmer?', not 'Who SHOT Laura Palmer?'. 'J.R.' is for all purposes 'before my time', and even I know that– 🧐

  2. He was my biggest writing inspiration. As a novelist, whenever I was stuck for writing a scene, I'd watch his interviews and learn to trust your instincts and become uninhibited in your art. I listened. I wrote and published three books on his advice. He was the greatest film maker to ever live. A genius who will be so missed.

  3. I'd also recommend to watch Federico Fellini's Tobby Dammit (heard of it in last yr Martin Scorcesse-Timothy Chalamet interview), as soon as I saw it I thought of David Lynch
