The video has nothing to do with the song, its fan made. (Led Zeppelin used a picture of the Hindenburg crash on their 1st and 2nd album).
The song is a cover of a blues song from the 1920s, about a flood in (i think Tennessee). There are levees in alot of places, not just New Orleans. But after Katrina this song was definitely referenced alot for sure.
The location was Mississippi where the levees broke. The video is more of a distraction in my opinion, people are more interested in the video than the music.
there is NO VIDEO this video is stupid and only serves to distract DISTRACT from this song about an historic flood =legendary the video pisses me off has been added decades later by some moron
i can not watch you trying to figure a video out that has NOTHING NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SONG EXCEPT TO SUCCESSFULLY DISTRACT EVIDENTALLY STUPID!!! BYE and your not even listening just talking over it
The Hindenburg clips has nothing to do with the song. It only reference to the name of the band and their first two album covers. Graf Zeppelin was the class of airships back in the day named after the creators. Led Zeppelin The name Led Zeppelin came from a comment made by Keith Moon of The Who, who once said the band would go down like a lead balloon, hence like a Led Zeppelin. Anyways the song is a remake cover of an old 1929 blues song by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 where levees broke along th southern states of the river where over 600,000 people were displaced.
When the Levee Breaks is a widely famous and popular blues song dating all the way back to an unprecedented flood that devastated Mississippi in the 1920s. Since then, the track has continued to weave it’s way into popular culture, solidifying it’s place in music history thanks to one of the most iconic rock bands of all time.
Levees have been breaking since levees have been invented. The original song is from 1929 by Kansas Joe and Memphis Minnie. It was written about one of the deadliest floods in US history at the time. It definitely conjures images of apocalyptic destruction.
You were paying too much attention to the video. This video doesn’t mean anything. It was just added to this song by someone on YouTube. This song was recorded in 1971 and never had a video
Video had nothing to do with the song. Others probably pointed that out or you already realized it. Just thought I'd restate it though just in case. It bugs me when a video throws someone off track of the point of the song
This song had nothing to with the Hindenburg. The Hindenburg was a style of lighter than air zeppelin.. when the band was looking for a name for there new band. They was leaning towards the name " Supergroup" they was at a party and the drummer for the band who said that will go over like a "Lead Zeppelin" they all look at each other and said ok then. Led Zeppelin it is. Now the song is about a actual Levie in the 20s in my home state of Mississippi my grandma told me about . Jaz the love of my life. I will never let you down . I told you to listen to whole lotta love. Now check "Since I Been Loving you" Live 1973 Madison square garden
awesome song keep up the good work darling

Interesting video to the song, nothing to do with the song at all.

APerfect Circle cover of this is way better than Led Zeppelin’s just IMO check it out. It’s got a cocktail lounge vibe to it.
