Apparently, New Jeans is copied from a Mexican girl group in the 90s called Jeans. (Which explains why they are called NEW Jeans)
ARMYs usually give HYBE groups a listen, even ARMYs who aren't interested in the rest of kpop, because Big Hit was always just BTS and once they introduced TXT it was something so new that we all watched their debut and cheered for them. It helps a lot that their music is good and they're all nice boys, literal fans and friends of BTS.
And now that HYBE is a thing and they're debuting more groups, we give them a chance but not in the same intensity as with TXT. Though that didn't stop many ARMYs to enjoy groups like NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM and Enhypen a lot. It isn't unfair to those groups to say the absolute fact that their casual listeners and a good percentage of their fandom is made up of ARMYs. And let me tell you something, NewJeans are feeling the effect that Min Heejin caused because many ARMYs abandoned the group. They used to live on Spotify's Global Top 50 and their latest singles was nowhere to be seen.
My personal opinion is that their core fanbase isn't strong enough nor devoted enough. Other casual listeners will tune in but i doubt it'll be anything close to when ARMYs supported them.
I hate MHJ so much and hope that she get KARAMA!!!!!! and that she herself leave the company and never work inte industry again. People like does not need to be in the industry

it's because you didn't see which plagiarism claims Min Heejin made, it's laughable. ILLIT got her own thing going on, NewJeans are not the first group to make chill glittery cute pop music, if anything STAYC should be the one pointing some fingers. And if i go even deeper NewJeans would be nothing without the singer Pink Pantheress for the music, black people culture for the dances, and BTS for the money.
Last thing, Min Heejin worked at SM, right? Worked with groups like EXO and SHINee…. then those plagiarism claims BTS got in 2014 for wearing school uniforms…. yeah, connect the dots now. She has been bitter about BTS for the longest time.
That’s why Newjeans comeback after this scandal flopped internationally. Most armys I knew who used to stream them, blocked them on all their platforms. For the first time Newjeans never debuted on US Spotify and didn’t chart on billboard hot100

MHJ wanted Hybe´s stock to go down because the found out that ador was to expensive so if she could lower the stock prizes of Hybe (including ador) so she could then negociate with hybe in selling the shares of ador to her
and then she would also have money for the memebers of NJ to break contract with hybe and only sign to ador, and that was said to be around 1 milion dollars witch Min though was to high. all of these things was proven in cort by MHJ kakato messages.
so that was her plan all along. ruin hybe and try and get out with nj at a better price with her reputation intact so she could get investors to invest in ador so she can run everything her own way. she planned this with her sharman when she first got Ador. she said she didn´t want to struggle making a label on her own she liked the fact that she could do what she wanted with a big budget and then when thy became succesful they would cut and run. it´s so crazy.
Min don´t love Nj she called them brats and fatshamed them in msg too provided in cort and Min didn´t deny it, and still the memebers and fans protect mhj??? there is something seriously wrong with the world.

Hybe does nothing for BTS they are still under BigHit, the only company free of Hybe's control. That's why I don't care what anyone says about Bang Si-hyuk he has the boy's best interest and it is clear they look up to him to this day

MHJ is jealous of BTS's success. She worked with a lot of groups in SM and they used to be popular, but BTS outshined them all. That's why she is trying so hard to have NJ "surpass" BTS, which, let's be honest, isn't happening.
you were absolutely right that the reason newjeans grew so fast was because ARMYs became intereseted. after this scandal dropped, the groups sales just HALVED and they were nowhere to be seen on Global 200.
