Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you’re about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that’s all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it’s easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won’t get them, period.

  1. The best hotkey setup I've found for bleeds is this:

    1. Put your heavy bleed med in slot 5 and set the hotkey for slot 5 to a press of the 5 key.
    2. Put your light bleed med in slot 6 and set the hotkey for slot 6 to a release of the 5 key.

This way, regardless of what bleeds I have, pressing and releasing the 5 key will prioritize healing a heavy bleed first, and if there isn't one, then the light bleed med activates. If I have multiple bleeds (of either type), hitting 5 multiple times will eventually heal all of them (assuming I've got heavy and light bleed meds with multiple uses, like a calok and an army bandage). I could have three heavy bleeds and two light bleeds in that scenario, and hitting the 5 key five times would take care of all of them. And I don't have to spend any time evaluating which type of bleed I have and making sure I choose the right hotkey for each med type, since it's only one key to press.

  2. Great video! Something I would have liked in the video is if there was a smaller icon of the condition next to the large icon. That way I have a better idea how it looks in game, since it’s smaller in game.

Edit: at least for bleeds. I get them confused sometimes

  3. Something you didn't mention is that bleeds are the only damage source that won't kill you when they empty your thorax or head. A blacked thorax/head is basically death but its worth noting that bleeding in this case won't kill you immediately; only when your total health fully reaches 0 or a different damage source is allocated to the blacked head/thorax. Weirdly enough other sources of full-body damage like starvation and damage propagation don't behave this way and will kill you right away.

  5. Quick fix: If bleedings will drop your thorax or head to 0 HP, you won't die. You will only die if you dehydrate or are exhausted. Firstly then you will die if the thorax or head is at 0 HP.

  6. you do not die if you loose your head or thorax by bleeding out iv been in games where my thorax and head have bled out and lived you do however instantly die if your thorax or head is blacked out and you run out of energy or water

  7. From working in emergency medicine I really hope they expand things. Like what if the defib was useful in game. Also it’s interesting there’s a blood pressure stat unused. What if hypovolemia was a thing and blood transfusion was needed. There’s already blood sets. I know this isn’t practical but I would LOVE if it was complex. Like it would be important to have one man in squad dedicated to medical. Think of the squad depth and strategy.

  8. Hello I don't know if this is a misunderstanding from me and considering i didn't see this in the comment you said something false that "If you have a bleed with a low torso or head yur risk dying" the fact is you wont your torso hp will hit 0 for example but after that it will continue to drain the hps from the other limbs and not do lethal damage.

  9. The surv-12 can also fix fracture if you don’t have a splint, and can fix blacked out limbs and fracture at the same time if you have them on the same place.

  10. Me: 1600 hours online
    Also me: But it's a Noice video…

Jokes aside this video will be an invaluable resource for my newbie friends because explaining everything in raid when they are injured is super hard and it's very difficult to explain what all meds are for

  11. Rengawr also mentioned in a video that if you have both arms blacked out the right is more important beacuse your character holds the gun with the right arm, so it gives a more steady aim and you should heal that first

  12. On factory when you discussed the top left of the screen, the yellow icon was described as "means heavy" for clarification, it does not mean heavy damage to body, it means that the stuff that you carry is heavy, as in you are over weight limit and your character tires faster and walks slower. Thought I'll just include this bc it didn't seem clear to me, and so it might not be clear to a new player.

  13. Its not instant death to head atleast from bleeds **yet**. Just survived a factory with no meds, ran out with a beavy bleed and no head almost blacked thorax as well. Didnt stay long enough to check cause i was still amazed my head was there. But i did die later in shoreline when hunger blacked out my head. So bleads still dont kill yet it seems

  14. I really hope we can get a system that allows us to work on other players and provide medical aid to them, and get ways to resuscitate fallen players soon after they go down, as long as they weren’t hit in a vital area (heart, spine, brain). Obviously I don’t want anything like PUBG or Fortnite where you just walk up, pat them on the back and they get up. Maybe like the option to use an AED, or do chest compressions (however that would leave them with broken ribs/damaged torso like in real life).

Idk just some ideas, I’d love to have the ability for a second chance, but it needs to be within the parameters of realism.
